The letters were "pretty". However, they varied a lot in size, our J was really small and the x was huge. Our babies name is only 3 letters so probably more impactful/visible. I took them into the store and this is standard. Also, they were hard to hang as there are 2 holes to lock them into place....

Looks great after painting them true white

I saw the other reviews stating that the letters are not true white, but decided to take a chance because I like the type face of the letters. The off white color did not look right in our nursery, but it was easy enough to spray paint the letters white. We wanted the names in a straight line, so my husband had the great idea to make templates of letters, including the mounting holes, that we could tape to the wall to get the alignment and spacing we wanted, because the holes are in a different location for each letter. While it took so time to trace and cut out the letters, it made hanging the letters a piece of cake. We simply nailed the holes into the paper templates (removing after) and the letters lined up perfectly.

white capital letters

I received these letters and was disappointed that they are really not white. More of a creamy white. I will have to repaint them to match the white table, storage shelves, picture frames, etc. Too much work considering the price.

Classic letters are perfect except..

they are not a true white. Shape and size are perfect. Unfortunately, I will need to repaint them white because they are more of an off-white/ivory. That is not going to work in my little boy's room. For 10 dollars a letter, I would have rather had them just right the first time.

What I expected

I only purchased one letter for my little girls room. The letter is very pretty, just the right shape, and has holes in the back do I can hang it on the wall or leave it on her shelf. It was worth the ten dollars I paid for it.

I saw this large letter in a PBK store. It was, I thought, exactly what I was looking for. I came home and ordered the correct letter online. Took quite a bit of time to arrive. PBK first credited my debit, then debited my debit. Odd. Then finally, it arrived. And it won't hang straight. Don't buy this unless you want it to hang at a quirky angle or you are willing to drill a new hole. It won't sit on a shelf straight. I have it now in a back room, propped on several books. Mistake.

Nice Letters, But Not White & Damaged

"White" letters on website are not really white. They are more ivory. They also had lots of paint chips and looked damaged. My husband had to paint them to make them look better.

I absolutely love the Pottery Barn Kids Wall Letters. It doesn't have the "baby cheesy" look so we can still use them to decorate her room even when she is a little older.

These letters are not white...they are a yellowish/off-white color. I might have been okay with an off-white color, but the yellowish tint is just plain ugly in my opinion. I am returning them.

Bought the letters to spell my girls initials. They were delivered earlier than expected and in excellent condition. They look beautiful on her bright wall. I just wish it came with mounting hardware.

I love the size and shape of the letters. The only downside is that these letters don't seem to really match each other in regard to the color/finish. Some are slightly different shades than others. It doesn't look horrible, I guess you could say it gives the letters a unique look.

White Capital Letters

I like the letters. The size and shapes are great. My problem is that they are named WHITE Capital Letters. They are actually an off-white not white. The color may not matter though depending on what they are placed next to. My daughters room is full of true white furniture, trim, baseboard and crown molding. It is very obvious in her room. I think that PBK in general has a problem calling things white that are really an off-white.

We just put these letters on my daughter's wall, and they look amazing! We used strong velcro to attatch to wall, and they are sturdy and it was easier than the nails. Completed the nursery!

I love the shape and size of these letters but the white is not really white. I wish I had read the reviews before I purchased them. They are a cream/off-white color and definitely will not match white trim in the room or white furniture. I am still deciding whether or not I am going to keep these.

Was please with size of letters however they are yellow/ivory. A few of the letters had scratches on them as well. Returned all the same day I received them.

NON WHITE LETTERS

THE LETTERS ARE BEAUTIFUL BUT THEY ARE NOT WHITE, BUT RATHER AN OFF WHITE. I WOULD HAVE PREFERRED THEM TO BE WHITE.

Beware: These letters are not white! They are antique white, almost a beigy cream! They are beautiful, but if you're looking for true white, they may not work for you.
