Whale Shade & Payton Base
Merry whales are pieced together from printed cotton and swim on a sea of blue cotton percale. Crafted of hardwood. Hi/lo switch UL-listed. Shade (sold separately) is cotton percale with embroidered details. All our shades are designed with an UNO fitter for securing shade to base. Designed to coordinate with our Jackson Whale nursery bedding collection. Title 20 compliant lamps will be shipped to CA addresses. Learn more to understand product differences.

Large but very nice

I bought this lampshade and the base (in white) to go on the nightstand in my son's nursery. The lamp is to tall and the shade is too big for the area (while I did check the size I overlooked the diameter of the shade). I did not return this product because I know that I will find use for it once we no longer use the dresser as a changing table. The shade is beautiful and looks very much like it is from a luxury baby store and not from a large corporation. I also like the the shade screws onto the base so that little fingers can't pull it off.

Favorite Nursery Lamp

This Whale lampshade and wooden Payton base is really cute! I'm impressed with the generous size also; I was expecting a typical small 10 inch high nursery lamp, but the Whale Lamp & Payton Base is about 20-22 inches high. It adds a lovely touch to the nursery! It seems to be well constructed.

We LOVE this shade for our little boy's room. It has a custom-made feel to it thanks to the stitching and embroidery, and the colors are versatile and easy to match with various shades of blue. We didn't buy the Payton base, but the shade fits fine on one we already had. The shade is a little loose, but not so much that it is problematic. The shade lets enough light through without being too bright for baby.

I received the whale shade and touch payton base (in white) at my baby shower and I absolutely LOVE IT!
Both the shade and the base are very good quality and match my decor perfectly!!
I highly recommend this product.

Cute Shade - Good Quality

Shade looks like it came from a boutique store - not mass produced. We didn't purchase Payton base (we purchased Aidan base). We bought it to go with baby boats theme as I didn't want everything to match too much. Works well in a nauticle themed room. I've been shopping around for the right shade and this one definitely stands above many options out there for the price.

Very cute shade, but hard to fit on lamp bases

Shade is really cute and rounds out the room with the Jackson bedding, but we haven't been able to find a base that it fits the shade. Needed to take to a lamp shop to have it fitted.
