This ruler is vintage with great colors! It's red, cream and black. It is 1/4 off due to the trim on the bottom but that isn't a big deal! Exactly what I was looking for! Goes perfect in my hall for all my kids to use!

Great Quality

This growth chart is exactly what I was looking for! I thought the colors were red, off-white and dark blue, but the dark blue is actually black. The vintage look is not very authentic in person but it is still very cute and very good quality.

I love the idea of this growth chart. When I recieved it, it is rubbed and has some worn spots that are supposed to look worn and vintage however the spots look like chipped and missing paint. I have other pottery barn items and this is ok. I love the idea though.

I can't believe it's no longer available for sale-I had it in my basket for a couple days & went back & it was gone. BRING it back please. It's perfect for growing boys.

Absolutely LOVE this product. Is is top quality. LONGER and THICKER than expected which is great!!!!! it goes perfectly with my toddler's theme which is all red, white and blue nautical theme. I also purchased de large wood numbers same colors before and the room looks great! It would go in any room with any color anyway so its a keeper for many years to come!

Most growth charts are either too babyish or for a little girl. This Growth chart looks to perfect for either a boy or girl. I only with I had had a chance to order this before it sold out!!!:(

I was not real pleased with the paint quality on the item. It was flaking a lot in spots. I'm not sure how it will hold up over the years. I wouldn't buy it again.

Perfect! This Chart Will Last Forever

I purchased this growth chart last week for my 5 yr old son. This chart is perfect since I can mark his current height on the chart, his height from his younger years and also many years to come, possibly through high school unless he grows to be over 6 feet tall. This chart is one piece and is thick and solid, which is perfect since we will be moving to a new home in the future, my son can keep this chart forever and use the chart for his children as well, the numbers and inch marks are very large and easy to read. The chart is simple to hang, the chart numbers start from the floor and DOES work with floor boards, the board will not be flush with the wall if you put the screw in too far, we left the screw out some, placed the chart on the screw then placed foam pieces from the box behind the chart towards the top, whoala it is perfect. The chart is made where you can unhook the chart from the screw and then rehang it, I highly recommend this chart!!!

I tried to find a growth chart which is not too babyish. This one is a good fit. It has high quality as I expected. And the red color (not too bright) matches my son's room decoration very well.

love it! got this for our little girl and future babies. i wanted something that was gender neutral and could be placed in a common area of our home. i've been looking for ages for a growth chart that would not look out dated in ten years. so happy i finally found what i was looking for!

Perfect Growth Chart for My Son

This growth chart was perfect for our 2-year old son's room. I was a little hesitant buying since we also have baseboards, but really wanted a growth chart that can grow with my son and not have him out-grow the cuteness/theme of some other charts.
As someone else mentioned, we hung our growth chart directly over the baseboard. It's not perfectly flush, but it hangs and looks perfect. I couldn't be more happy at how beautiful it looks. We bought chalkboard tiles to hang behind the chart and the entire set is very functional.
I think that PBK has updated the template to hang the chart since we used the template and had no problems. I would recommend this growth chart, the antique finish is a plus in my book.

I see other people needed to notch out their basboards to accomodate the growth chart. In my case, I have standard baseboards, so I didn't need to notch them out. They fit pretty well, not perfectly flush, but enough to not impact the measurement and cause us to undergo minor house construction.

Great Growth Chart

I wanted a growth chart that was going to grow with my child and not be too "babyish". I am very happy with this purchase.
In other reviews there were concerns that the chart does not take into account a base board on the wall -- we take the ruler off the wall to measure our child and then put it back up-- simple.
The only aspect of the ruler I am not crazy about is to make it look old the paint rubbed off in spots to make it look worn/used -- I do not like the red paint around the outside rubbed off but it's not a deal breaker for us to send it back.

Needs a little modification

Like other reviewers, I realized that this would not measure accurately if positioned out from the wall because of our baseboard. Seems like a design flaw because many people have baseboards. However, I really liked the vintage look of the chart so we just sawed off the bottom 3 inches and hung it that way. Since it's close to the floor, I don't think it really detracts from the overall look and now it's usable.

Great piece - baseboards not an issue

We love this growth chart because it lasts long beyond the home we live in. We have one for each of our 3 kids. We just mounted ours so that it was higher than the base board. All you have to do is take it off the wall when you measure your child and then hang it back up....very, very easy and that way you have an accurate measurement and still hang it on the wall.

This growth chart looks exactly like I expected it to. And I'm very excited to put it into our son's room. However, we can't hang it yet because we have to figure a way to notch out for our base moulding. I've purchased a book rack from PB and they though ahead and cut out to allow the bookcase to push directly against the wall. This item doesn't have that feature. Bummer.

I have always wanted a place to measure my kids as they grew with the added benefit of being able to take it with us if we ever moved from the house. I love the look of this, as it can grow with us no matter what age my kids are. Dad and Mom put their height on the wall too, so the kids know what to aim for. :-) I wish it was 7 feet tall though, as I have a feeling my boys will grow beyond the ruler.
