Very Little Light

The chandelier is very cute, easy to install (assuming you're already wired), and the description does remark that 25W bulbs are used, but until it's installed you don't get the full appreciation for how little light this fixture produces even with naked bulbs, much less with the universal shades on the bulbs. If you had a room with recessed lighting where you wanted this to be a pretty accent, you're in luck, but this lamp isn't suitable for the primary room light source, so back it goes...

Great but not perfect

The chandelier is not white - it's a slightly cream color. Still, it blends in our nursery and it was simple to install.
Originally, we ordered the blue shades for the chandelier - but the shades were more of a blue/gray than we wanted. So I sent them back in exchange for white shades which I figured would go with everything. However, with the white shades, it's even more apparent the chandelier is NOT white. It almost makes the white shades look cheaper/dingy somehow as they are a paper quality rather than a fabric contrasted against a cream chandelier. I wish now I had just ordered the green shades, as that was an option I considered, but I really don't want to do another return/exchange.
Having said all that, I think the chandelier is still a good idea for a nursery - it's far better than a standard overhead light and creates a softer look to the room, appropriate even for a boy's room.

Right Idea, Poor Follow Through

I really like the look of this chandelier. I ordered it with the pink universal mini shades, and the look is adorable. However, I did not read carefully enough when ordering and didn't realize that the maximum wattage for the lights is 25 watts. As other reviewers have said, it does not provide enough light on its own. I intend to have other lamps in the room, but since I was planning on ordering them from PBK as well, I will definitely double check the wattage from now on.
Also, the universal mini shades mount directly to the light bulb ). The chandelier has the capability to have shades mounted to it. I don't understand why PBK would create a chandelier with one sort of mounting, and advertise shades with others. My biggest issue with this is that the current mounting mechanism makes it impossible to use compact fluorescent light bulbs or anything other than traditional candelabra bulbs. I find this incredibly limiting (not to mention environmentally unfriendly).

Beautiful Chandelier

This chandelier makes the room complete and is absolutely adorable!
The only reason I gave it a 4 star is because of the customer service due to a replacement order.
Installation Tip: the first step is to screw the post to the base of the chandelier but there is about 8-10 inches of wiring in the way. Pull really, really hard on the wires from the top of the post and make sure they don't get too twisted. Then you will be able to screw the post to the base.

The 25W limit does not make for enough light if that is your main source for lighting. It's adorable, but you'll need some natural light or a secondary source to make it a well-lit room.

Chandelier Shades

Recently purchased and installed these green shades in our children's playroom. They fit perfectly on our chandelier (which was not from PB) and really help to relax the look of the chandelier. Very cute - great shade of green, not bright though!

Love the Look but not enough light

I love the chandelier, but it does not give off enough light! I had to add two table lamps to make the room brighter. Don't get me wrong it's beautiful and it makes the room, I just wish for more light.

Fairly easy to install. Good quality. Very cute and made the nursery look complete. Only negative is that it doesn't give off enough light by itself.

I ordered the green ones hoping they would coordinate with the green curtains I ordered a year ago. They are NOT the same shade of green, but close enough that I am not going to waste time/money shipping them back. I was then informed that a different manufacturer now makes the curtains, etc. Other than that they are great quality and look adorable on her light!

We just installed this chandelier in our nursery; and it looks absolutely adorable. The installation was not hard at all. The pink shades totally brought a girly touch to the room, especially when we had our nursery's walls painted yellow and green, . I just wish the light it provides were a bit brighter. We have another table lamp in the room; when that was is lit, then there's absolutely enough light in the room. Highly recommended!!!

I love our new light fixture: feminine, classic, excellent quality. We hung it in our daughter's room and it is perfect for a little girl's room in every way. Really finishes off the decor.

I like the chandelier, we have two, but there are very little shade choices. The pink is very pink, not subtle like the picture shows, and it's very difficult to find the right size shades.

I was actually disappointed with the chandelier and ended up returning it. It was much smaller than I had expected and the silk ribbon did not look at all like the pciture on the website. I have been happy with other Pottery Barn Kids items purchased through the web, however this in particular just looked much better online than it did in the nursery.

Simple chandelier

This was an okay chandelier. It's cute...but the light is not bright enough. We bought this with the pink shades as shown. It seems to make the room have a pink glow to it. Luckily my daughter has an additional table lamp in the room which seems to bring in more light on its own.
