Doesnt work with bed skirt
May 13, 2013
Guard rail looks good with our daughter's bedroom set (we have the entire Catalina twin set), but the rail prevents the use of a bed skirt. Our comforter set comes with a bed skirt that really complements the look, so it was disappointing that the rail blocked the skirt.

Keeps child safe
January 30, 2013
It keeps the child from falling out of the bed, which is the whole point. Also, the wood matches perfectly to the furniture...I got the rustic chestnut. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because its wobbly...it wobbles back and forth. It was installed by the PB delivery men so I can't imagine that it wasn't installed properly. It also prevents you from making the bed nicely....you have to tuck the bedspread under the matress to get a clean look. But, as I said, it keeps my child safe and that is the most important thing.

good protection for a toddler
December 22, 2012
I got this guard rail for my 2yo grandson's Kendall bed. I like the way it is built and made compared to those at other baby stores. Feel sure it will keep him from falling out. I was able to manipulate the mattress to install it easily. The only complaints- it fits really tight which makes the sheet and comforter not lay flat and looks messy on the side of the bed. Also - the color/stain does not match the bed even though they are suppose to be the same color (Sun Valley Espresso). Overall - good product.

Good Value
October 17, 2012
My grandson is under two years of age and I wanted to be sure he would be safe in a regular bed. I bought the bed, the mattress and this guardrail. It is well made and matches the bed. I highly recommend this product.

Sticker Response
October 4, 2012
Hey guys, for those of you having difficulty with the stickers, use a steam iron and loosen up the sticker and then scrape it off. Afterwards, take a cloth with fingernail polish remover (acetone) and rub over the sticker, this will remove the adhesive used on the sticker. Hope this does the trick.

Good guardrails but ugly warning stickers!
August 8, 2012
Functionally, i like these guardrails. They do the job and work well.
However, i don't like how they look b/c they come with a HUGE warning sticker on the side that stretches at least half the length of the top panel. When I've tried to pull it off, the sticker tears leaving most of it still on. I've even take a hot cloth to the sticker, but no luck.
So if you're looking for the "pottery barn" look, the stickers are very distracting. I'm not sure why they couldn't use a sticker that peels off more easily

Great Product Overall
April 25, 2012
We bought this guardrail for our 2 year old daughters first bed (the Catalina bed). I really like it as it looks very nice with the bed, it was incredibly easy to attach, it is quite secure, and it definitely keeps her in. I've found her leaning against it while sound asleep, when she otherwise would have fallen out onto the floor. My only complaint is that it comes with a giant (over a foot long) sticker on the inside top rail with warnings, etc. that is nearly impossible to get off! Really frustrating as it takes away from how nice the rail looks. Otherwise this product is a "5 star"

Perfect Guardrail
September 7, 2011
I tried the cheap guard rails from babies r us that run about $50, only to find that you have to have a boxspring to use them. After I realized that I had no choice but to order this rail, I am so glad I did. The rail looks so nice on the bed and my daughter loves it. She feels so safe and secure now. Before she was rolling out ever night. It is very sturdy and perfectly long enough so she can still get in and out.

Great bed rails!
April 16, 2011
Purchased these bed rails for my 2.5 yr olds twin. They were very easy to install, you just have to be careful not to lean on them until you have the mattress in place, as they will break out of the slats. And don't use these rail if you want to use a box spring, they won't fit. They're prefect for my sons starter bed.

Decent
January 21, 2011
The rail could be a little longer to cover a little more of the side of the bed. It is also not quite as sturdy as I would like. My daughter has not tried to get out of bed and so far it has held and has not shown a problem, but she is strong and I could see that if she really tried to push or pull it, it might not hold as well. Overall, it's an okay product and looks nice on the bed.

Great Guardrail
January 10, 2011
I bought this for my 3 year old and it is perfect! Great rail for a twin bed and transition from crib to big boy bed!! Amazing quality too. Totally worth the extra $$. Sticker does not come off but you cant see it b/c it faces inward.

Guardrail
December 15, 2010
This is a nice, sturdy item; my only complaint was that the safety warning sticker and other product informational stickers were placed directly on the wood and it took us hours to remove them. There is still residue from the stickers remaining on the wood.

Disagree with complaints
November 13, 2010
I have to take exception to the reviews that complain about the "impossibility" of making the bed with these rails in place. We have had these rails on our son's Kendall bed for the past 2 years. To make the bed, I simply flip the mattress up on its side, place the fitted sheet along the long side of the mattress, drop the mattress back down, and flip up the other side. It's not really that difficult. My understanding is that the rails are designed to be snug so our little dears can't be suffocated between the bedrail and the mattress. We have been very satisfied with these rails. They are quite substantial, and installation wasn't rocket science, either.

Guard Rail is Ok
October 12, 2010
I think the rail is ok. Nothing special. I actually ordered 2 for the catalina bed. I did think they were overpriced. Just as long as it keeps my daughter from falling off the bed I'm ok with it.

Its not bad
September 4, 2010
This rail does the job. It is easy to install, but not as sturdy as expected. The color matches the bed perfectly.
The only real problem is the gigantic warning label. Its probably the lawyers that make them put it on there, but I could sure do with out it. Its a real pain to remove.

Good guardrail, bad warning label placement
July 23, 2010
We really like the guardrail itself, it is made of good quality, easy to attach to the bed and looks nice from the outside. Our only complaint is that the warning sticker is adhered to the inside of each of the guardrails and is extremely difficult to remove. I have removed one sticker, but a sticky residue remains. I have tried several cleaning agents and it still remains tacky to the touch. We have decided to leave other sticker due to this issue.

Very Nice Guardrail, but not practial at all
July 17, 2010
This guardrail is beautiful. I purchased it in the antique white to go with my 3 yr old daughter's madeline bed set. It is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to make the bed with this guardrail. I ended up putting my daughter's bed in the corner just so I only had to use one of these. My husband also just ended up sliding this rail underneath the mattress at night instead of nailing it down, that way I can remove it when changing her sheets and even just making the bed. She has a huge pillowtop mattress, so we could not use the box springs anyways. It would have made the bed too high and the rails would have been useless. I would have liked to give this 1 star because it is not practical at all. Only reason I gave it two stars is because it is a well made guardrail.

Love the style - Don't love how it works :(
July 1, 2010
They are pretty - but I was very disappointed/aggravated to have purchased a twin set, only to find out that I can not use the boxspring. I am by myself alot so attempted at putting what should be an easy job, the boxspring into the bed. I scratched the bedframe all up at the end - because the boxframe would not go in. No where on the instructions did it say this! NOT HAPPY that I spent a fortune on this bed and now it already has scratches even though never used! I can not return the boxspring either, so I am out $200 from the place I purchased the mattress. Trying to put sheets on the mattress with the rails on, is REDICULOUS! It is so tight and I have to lift the mattress completely out every time to pull off cover & sheets. With a toddler, I'm changing at least once to twice a week which makes this a pain. am extremely frustrated and disappointed. I can not even make her bed because the sheets & comforter both won't fit. I could cry I'm so frustrated with this.

Works and looks great
April 17, 2010
We have this on my second child's bed. This guardrail, along with the pbk bed w/ top mattress only works well together. It is not as bulky as many of the guardrails you can get from the big box chains. There is more room to make the bed with this rail than with the other brand we have on my first child's bed. I would not recommend getting two of these as the added width would cause the same difficulties we have with the other brand. I will be buying another guardrail, for my first child's bed as I have had the opportunity to compare.

best out there
March 25, 2010
We love these guardrails because they are so much more sturdy than anything else we found. They attach directly to the bed frame so they feel more secure and I don't have to worry about readjusting them at every turn. They match our beds perfectly and blend right in. Perfect!
