Very soft wood
February 3, 2013
Like most people I am always dawn to the classic look of PB furniture. We purchased this changing table over a year and a half ago to go with the Kendall crib and camp dresser. It has been used numerous times daily since our son was born in September 2011. The wood dents and scratches very easily. On the top edge of the table the finish has worn through where we apparently have leaned over it while attending to our son. My worst complaint is that the adjustable shelf is almost seemingly too short width wise and routinely comes off of the bracket. It falls onto the buckets below. I have used the canvas buckets as opposed to the wicker baskets but I am giving up usable storage space and need a better solution. In all this piece has been a hassle. I love having a changing table at this height though and appreciate not having to lean down to the top of a dresser, especially as my son became more and more wriggly.

Beautiful
January 19, 2013
Not only is this changing table beautiful but it's very functional. The extra storage is perfect! The table is very sturdy and professionally made. It's worth the money! I can see where the baskets could scratch up the paint on the shelves but you can solve that problem with either cloth storage or place felt underneath the baskets so it's a softer surface. So glad we purchased this!

Great, Simple Changing Table
September 27, 2012
We wanted a stand alone changing table for our baby girls nursery. If you're like me you probably drool over the pictures in this website or catalog hoping you can recreate a nursery to look like this. Well unfortunately this gave me the idea to put the Espresso storage boxes in the shelves of the table. It looks great and matches my theme, but unfortunately these boxes scratched the heck out of the shelves of my changing table, which is not cheap by the way. So, all in all, the table itself is great, it's sturdy, and has enough room to put a diaper caddy. But whatever you do, get cloth storage boxes!

Great, but did not use Sabrina baskets
August 9, 2012
This is a great changing table for taller couples. It has a lot of storage room if you get baskets that fill up the entire space. I found that the Sabrina baskets were to small since they are only 12" square and the shelf on this changing table is just over 17" deep. A different basket will work better. Also, the safety tab on the drawers can get in the way sometimes, but overall I love this changing table!

Love the table!
July 27, 2012
We love this table! It's great for our room, and our baby! The only problem we had was getting it in the right color, which was frustrating considering everything gets shipped to you, then you put it together & if it's not right, you take it apart, put it back in the box, call customer service, make plans for how to get the replacement, etc. However, we did end up with the simply white, which matches all of our other Bellini furniture, so we are thrilled with the results! We now have a safe, secure, gorgeous place to make it easy to change our little girl! Pottery Barn, minus a few frustrations, had great customer service overall. Our exchange did cost us $13.99 in shipping it back, but was worth it in the end.

Nice piece...Terrible Instructions
July 20, 2012
Our baby isn't due for another 6 weeks, so we can't yet vouch for it's durability, but it was packed well and seems fairly solid. Certainly, how it stands up in action remains to be seen.
My husband is quite handy, so he rarely has problems with these types of diy projects, but this one ranked high on his list of the worst instructions ever. There was way too much to figure out on your own and some of the engineering in assembly felt poorly thought out. But we managed, and it is together and ready for baby.
The quality is decent, but we both agree that the price-value quotient is not as high as we expected...even for assembly required furniture. It's a little disappointing because we were hoping that for the extra $200 we spent over comparable changing tables, we would have seen a measurable increase in quality.

A great piece
June 2, 2012
My husband and I purchased it after going to pick up our crib at the store, and brought it home. A neighbor had to help my husband carry it upstairs because it was so incredibly heavy. It was not that difficult to put together. We're expecting our baby in September and this will go nicely with the Catalina crib.

Perfect for Our Needs
May 3, 2012
I wanted a changing table that could grow with our baby but was not a dresser as we will eventually purchase a children's bedroom set when he is older. The changing table was slightly difficult to put together and is quite heavy so I suggest putting it together in the room it will be in.
I find it to be very sturdy - even the shelf which is not always the case with other vendors.
I purchased the Sabrina Baskets to go with this and while they are not what I had hoped - all together it is a very attractive piece in the nursery and compliments the Kendall Crib nicely.

Ultimate Changing table
January 31, 2012
I was surprised that this item had so many pieces to assemble and is not a 'home delivery'. Instead, it's delivered in a huge box via UPS. For the money I paid, I would have thought that the item would be of better quality and i don't get the straps on the top. They are very tacky.

So far so good...!
January 13, 2012
We purchased this changing table in espresso. The color is great, but redder than I expected. I can see how the finish scratches easily, like others have mentioned, so we're planning on using fabric bins rather than baskets for storage.
My husband put it together in about 40 minutes. He said it was the easiest & most well constructed item that we have purchased so far for the nursery. He was surprised when I mentioned that other reviewers had issues w/sturdiness.
The girls haven't arrived yet, but it seems like a long term piece of furniture. We plan on using it as a bookcase in a few years. We got it on sale, but my husband said it was well worth paying even the full price. We highly recommend it!

A little dissapointed
January 2, 2012
We have purchased a lot of furniture from pottery barn in the past, and I would rate every other piece a 4-5 star for quality and durability. Luckily we bought the changing table at half price, because otherwise I would be returning it. The pieces seem well made, with the exception of one that was so warped we had to exchange it just to get the table to go together. However, it just doesn't fit together well. There are cracks at several joints, leaving it less attractive and a bit wobbly. We will use it, but it won't be hard to let go of in a few years. So, for $200 it was fine, but I expect more from PB, and kind of wish we'd splurged for the kendall dresser with changing table topper.

Ultimate Changing Table exercise program
November 21, 2011
Asthetically pleasing and well built, this piece looks like the perfect changer for your baby's picture perfect room. However, new parents beware! Babies absolutely love to pull the baskets down and empty the contents. The first few times of playing the picking-up game isn't too bad, but it definitely gets old. I am absolutely sorry I bought this piece.
Again, the product is beautiful and well built... it's the design that doesn't work for us.

More cream than white
August 12, 2011
We've only just set it up in the baby's room and it seems like a nice sturdy piece of furniture...but it's not nearly as WHITE as it seems on the website. It's really more cream, and next to other white pieces of furniture, looks kind of dingy and worn...so not entirely happy with the colour but not bummed enough to send it back (especially after my husband spent over an hour putting it together).

Doesn't match :(
August 12, 2011
I was so excited for this changing table! It seemed very roomy and full of storage options, and best of all, sturdy! I was so disappointed though to open it and see that it didn't match my Kendall crib at all :( Both are supposedly Sun Valley Espresso, but the changing table is far lighter. (I had thought maybe the crib color was off, but other pieces we have all match the crib.) We traded out the changing table in-store for another one hoping it was just a fluke- but same problem. The stains just don't match! Part of paying the Pottery Barn price is that everything looks like a set- so I'm bummed. Haven't decided if I'm keeping it...

Not worth the money
July 21, 2011
A bit wobbly from side to side and one of the three drawers sticks. We had someone from the store deliver and assemble so shouldn't be an issue of assembling. We didn't go with a cheaper table from another store bc we wanted something sturdy. This table is not sturdy. Not recommended. We bought a crib thru pbk and it seems sturdy enough, not sure what the issue is with the table. Disappointed.

Awesome for the price!
July 11, 2011
I am expecting my first baby in September so I've not yet used the table. Putting it together was a cinch...I did it by myself as my husband was out-of-town. The sun valley honey color is great. It does have a strong "finish" odor, so I would recommend setting it up before baby arrives. I've burned a candle in the nursery a few times and can no longer smell the odor. Even without being anchored to the wall, it's VERY sturdy. I think it's going to work great. Considering the sale price, I feel like I got a great deal.

Great Changing Table
May 20, 2011
I originally purchased this table six years ago when my daughter was born. It is still in great shape. As she out grew a "changing table" we got rid of the changing pad and started using it as a bookshelf. We ended up purchasing another when my son was born and plan on using it the same way.

Its..alright at best.
April 17, 2011
Pros: Its heavy so it wont tip.
-Pad fits snugly.
-It's a great color.
Cons:It's "antiqued". No where in the description does it say "Antique White."
-Its so heavy its hard to move!
-Assembly is a little complicated because its put together with un-sturdy wooden pegs.
Overall, were happy with it. Even though it is not 100% what we expected.
