Not great
February 12, 2013
The mattress is hard and not comfortable to sleep on. The trundle color doesn't match the bed we previously purchased through pottery barn.

Serves its purpose
January 12, 2012
We bought the "matching" color universal trundle and although it doesn't make a huge difference, it is off color from the actual bed. You can see the difference between them because they are right next to each other. It slides just fine on our carpet but is a tight squeeze. We have the bed on the highest level so the trundle can fit but it wouldn't fit with a normal mattress. The max size would be a 6.5 inch mattress. My advice is either buy the pottery barn recommended mattress or do what we did which was buy a 6 inch memory foam mattress for cheaper and it works great! Useful trundle anyways!

rolls over carpet; very heavy
November 27, 2011
We have this under the Catalina bed, and it is a very snug fit--we have to push it very carefully to get it to go straight under. It's a little struggle to get the wheels to turn, but once they do, it rolls very nicely over our carpet, which is a medium height. The wheels are hidden under the frame, and the frame is solid across the bottom. It is is very heavy; I would not recommend moving it around--it's better to set it in a room and leave it there. Also, when you buy a trundle, if you want to use it, you can't have anything next to the bed like a bedside table. This limits your use of the space around your bed. We just move the side table over when we want to pull the trundle out (which isn't very often).
Great quality and nice to have an extra bed when we need it.

Perfect Trundle
September 29, 2011
I am very happy with my son´s new trundle. Perfect color, perfect size, very easy to roll out. I don´t know why I hadn´t bought it before. He loves to sleep in it even if he has no sleepovers...

Extra Storage
September 29, 2011
Bought this for storage with Catalina full size bed for my five year old son. It's easy to store bulky clothes like jeans, sweaters, sweats. My son loves it because he can easily grab his jeans or sweaters and easily put his clothes away. Not preassembled and a pain to put together for one person. For the price it should be preassmbled. Anytime assembly is left to the customer I am concerned with long term durability. Wish it had handles to make easier to push in/out. Other than that we're happy with it.

Universal Trundle
August 1, 2011
Purchased trundle to be used for overnight guests. Regular twin mattress will not roll under Catalina bed on carpet. The finishes do not match perfectly (trundle is lighter). I had to drill 25 holes that were not pre-drilled according to the instructions! Good thing I have the tools and know-how to put together. A handle would be helpful..I may add two pulls myself. Trundle is not what I expected, but will work. Overpriced for the problems and not matching PB bed. I am disappointed.

Great for added storage
March 19, 2011
My son's new room is small and we wanted to get some extra storage space- this trundle fit perfectly under his Kendall bed. The color was a perfect match.
Some reviews mentioned that a regular twin mattress doesn't fit well - - I can see that it might be a problem. But if we decide to put a mattress in later, we will purchase the PBK trundle mattress to be safe.

Disappointed
February 13, 2011
I disagree with the positive reviews. This trundle is very difficult to slide out from under the bed if rolling on carpet and it would be much easier if there were handles. Also, I tried using it as storage but it gets so much dust inside because the top isn't flush against the bottom of the camp bed. A mattress might be the only option but it's still going to allow dust.

Perfect Addition to Madeline Bed
February 11, 2011
I bought this trundle to go with my daughter's Madeline bed. It was much less expensive than the "Madeline" trundle, fits neatly underneath the bed, and matches perfectly! I recommend doing the same.

Very well constructed and durable. Easy to assemble and move around on the wheels. A little pricey, but will come in handy for sleepovers.

Right now I am using my Trundle to store extra comforter and bed sheets. It is a great size and in the future I will use it as a sleepover bed.

Doesn't fit a standard mattress
September 19, 2010
While the quality of the trundle was good, the marketing that it accomodates a standard mattress is FALSE. We have carpeting in our daughters room and with a VERY standard mattress it would not clear the Catalina Bed. Be prepared to buy the PB mattress or lift the bed up to slide the bed under. The Catalina Bed should have been designed 1 to 2 inches higher and this would have worked beautifully.

September 15, 2010
We are very happy with our trundle purchase. It goes perfectly with the camp bunk beds. We have wood floors and it slides in and out very easily.

Nice Trundle
September 9, 2010
The Trundle comes on 6 little casters so it moves around nicely and will obviously slide out on either side. FYI, the mattress is smaller than a standard twin because it is THINNER so beware. We went with the one Pottery Barn offered to avoid any issues. So far so good.

We pull out the trundle every time our two year old goes to sleep and we use it incase he rolls off instead of a bulky bed rail. It works perfectly!

No choice when it comes to mattress
June 6, 2010
I bought a Catalina bed for my daughter and a Camp Bed for my son, both with a trundle bed. Even though my kids and I are very happy with how the beds look and their overall quality, I found very disappointing that I don't have a choice when it comes to the mattress for the trundle bed. I recommend that anybody planning on buying this trundle bed consider this before doing it.

Color Doesn't Match with the set
June 1, 2010
The color doesn't match with the catalina set. That's a big disappointment. But I need it as extra storage and it meets my needs.
