We live in a small urban space and the bulky rockers would not fit in our nursery - this rocker is not only compact but beautifully crafted and will certainly outlast any upholstered rocker. Buy this

Note that the Espresso color option shown on this website is not actually available. The product shipped will be Cherry. It is fine if you are not wanting Espresso. We had to return it as the Cherry (resembling Oak) was much too light. I'm not sure why the website still reflects this option.

We received this rocking chair as a Christmas gift before our baby was born and have already been enjoying it. The seat is wide and the wood is beautiful. It definitely requires a cushion for comfort. We had some initial trouble fitting the chair pegs into the glider holes, but persistent hammering eventually made the fit. We're looking forward to rocking our baby to sleep in this chair soon.

My favorite rocker

The Troutman rocking chair is the perfect compliment to my baby's nursery furniture due to its classic design, solid construction and color. Its wider seat makes is comfortable for mom and baby.
