beautiful to look at

i purchased this rug in 9 x 11 cost $199.00 loved the way it looked, have twin boy and girl...however, the first week i had it started to fall apart, the rug started coming apart when my dog just walked on it...looks terrible now, except the part that is under the crib where no one has stepped on it. would not recommend there rugs at all, my girlfriend had the same experience with a similar rug...what a shame so pretty but not functional:(

I have this rug in both pink and green. Neither one is as brightly colored as the picture. They wear very quickly and look dirty easily.

Smells bad

This is the second rug we have purchased from PB, the first would not stop shedding and they were wonderful, let me return it and i purchased this one. We have had it for a while and it does look dirty quickly but worst of all it smells odd. I have cleaned it and we don't have pets and don't wear our shoes in the house and it still smells bad. I would not recommend this rug.

Didn't last, looks old and dirty

We bought this rug for my daughter's nursery before she was born in December, 2010. She isn't even a year and a half old, and we are already looking to replace it. It looks old, worn and dirty already, with just light use. I definitely wouldn't recommend this rug.

Terrible quality! Waste of money!

I was very excited about this rug. When it arrived, it looked great. Unfortunately, it is not durable AT ALL! Within a week, it looked terrible. My daughter is only 6 months old and it already needs to be replaced. And we don't even wear shoes on it and have barely even used my daughter's room yet! Don't waste your money. PB should be ashamed of themselves for selling such a bad rug!

After only six months of use I am getting rid of this rug. It looks awful and it's impossible to keep clean. Forget about it if you have a pet. It holds pet hair even after vacuuming. It's very disappointing to have paid $400 for something of such poor quality.

The only good thing about this rug is the price! After a few months the rug looked dirty even with light use. It is all pilled. I even used a sweater comb on it to see if that would help. I wish we chose a different rug.

Rug gets so dirty!

After 8 months and many attempts to clean the rug, I got rid of it! I had the rug in my daughter's nursery. Not a lot of traffic on the rug. After about 2 months, it started to look very dirty. Please do not waste your money on this rug!

I've owned this rug for a year now and it honestly looked horrible after 3-4 months. The nursery where we have the rug does not get a lot of traffic and we vacuum each week. It's not like its in the entry way, yet it looks like it could be!
I've had it cleaned two times and am taking it in for a third time this week. I think I've almost spent as much on cleaning as I did the rug itself. Not only did it look dirty immediately, as the other reviewers stated, but it is also fraying in weird places.

Get a different rug

I was so excited to put this rug in my daughter's room. It seemed like the perfect finishing touch. I got it in October and in just a few months I am ready to throw it in the garbage. It just got so nasty looking. I am going to try and have it cleaned, but really, it should have held up better. It has been less than 6 months. Not worth it.

I am about to buy my second Avery rug for my second son, I am definetely concerned after reading the reviews, but I have been waiting for PBK to have that specific rug in to buy one for my son, I was very happy with the first one, and it still looks great after 6 years!!! But the original one was made out of 100% wool, so maybe that's why it's better, I will buy a new one anyway and will see what happened, PBK customer service is great and they work with you until you are satisfied. So even if I have to return the rug 5 times until I am happy with it, then that' s what I will do, I'll just keep the wrapping until 100% happy. Wish me luck!

This rug was a huge disappointment. Looks awful after 6 months. Does not wear well, looks dirty. The rug was in my 4 year old daughter's room, where we have no shoes, and no eating, but still this rug looks cheap and disgusting. I have had better luck with rugs from Ikea. I recommend not buying this rug.

Wish I had not bought it

I bought this rug for my daughter's room and within 2 months it looked extremely shabby! We have hard wood floors, a new vacuum cleaner and a no shoes policy in the house. I vacuum nearly every day and still the rug looks tattered and gray, especially around the edges. I don't get it, it's extremely depressing to look at, wish I had never bought it!

Great rug dispite the bad reviews!

I was seriously concerned about buying this rug from the comments that had been left regarding the Avery Rug. Truth of the matter is that for the price you are not going to find a better rug (and trust me i looked). I decided to buy it and i am so glad i did. It is beautiful and goes great with the room. I have not seen any pulling like many described. Frankly i think that the only folks who commented on the rug, were the folks who had a bad experience. I can only imagine PBK has sold many thousands of these rugs, so with 12 bad reviews, the odds are pretty good you will end up with a good one. Hope this helps anyone debating getting this rug because of the reviews.

we just threw this rug in the trash. after a few years, it started disintegrating from the inside -- huge amounts of fine particle dust started coming through the backing, so that the pad & floor underneath were totally covered in white dust.

Terrible Rug

We are so upset about this rug. We were excited to have the curtains, rug and bedding in the nursery all match, but this rug is getting pills, shedding and graying after only three months. It is very difficult to clean and it looks terrible already. This is the second one we had because the first one was defective... Really disappointed.

Good price - poor quality

Bought this rug in green to match the purple and green theme we have in my daughters room. The green was brighter in person than it is in this picture. Between the bright green of the rug and the stripes it sort of reminded me of a football field. Also, I agree with the comments about the pulls and runs in rug. We vacuumed it once and there were many pulls - and we only had it for a day. The price is right, but I don't think it is a good quality rug.

Love this rug

I bought this rug in green for my daughter's nursery, with the intention that we would be able to use it in the future if we had a son. It is super soft and durable at the same time. It perfectly complements the Sabrina basket liners that we got in green as well. Would definitely recommend.
