Not quite Mackenzie Quality

I was expecting the same quality as the Mackenzie luggage and was disappointed. Very poor quality control. Our personalization was shoddy with stiches outside of one embroidered letter (not sure how to explain). The grey fabric at the front bottom was visibly crooked, shorter on one end than the other, but since the luggage is personalized I assume I cannot return for one that underwent closer/better quality control. Telescoping handle does not stay locked in the middle position for a small child (unlike our Mackenzie one which does), so it extends fully when the luggage is being pulled/rolled, which is not helpful to a young child. So overall, disappointed.

Poor quality!

My son received this for his 5th birthday and was so excited to use it for the first time for our vacation to LA. It broke the minute we arrived in LA. Then handle would not close all the way and now is unusable as a check in or carry on bag. Now we are stuck in LA looking for a replacement luggage for him. I expect this quality from a low end bag sold at a discount store, but not a $100 bag from pottery barn after one use.

This is a great size for my 5-year old. Very high quality and I love that it rolls sideways - I want one for myself!
