They fall off

They glow really nicely and I like that they are not super sticky. However they do peel off and are mostly on the floor after only one week.

My son loved putting these up!

We purchased these for my 5 year old son's side of the room he shares with his sister. He was in charge of putting them up -- he could peel them off and stick them by himself. I did need to assist in smoothing them out and so far (it has been two weeks) they seem to be staying stuck. He thinks they are really cool and he is very proud of the design he created.

Love these! They are bright at night and stick to my walls (that are not perfectly smooth) really well! My 3 year old loves them!

MADE IN THE USA! Great product. I purchased these for both of my girls rooms. They love them. I always tell them to count the stars in the sky to help you fall asleep. I even want them for my room. Very well made and easy to remove if needed.

Absolute Garbage

These were the only decals I purchased from PBK but I purchased a number of other decals from other internet merchants -- some Star Wars, some Star Trek. Needless to say, these were (by far) the most expensive of the bunch.
Yes, you do get a lot of them. They are well-sized. Yes, they do actually work well (they glow well and keep their glow for about 15 minutes).
Here's the problem: they don't actually stick to the ceiling. Within a few days, they curl up and fall off. I'd estimate about half of the stars have fallen down. It's worthless trying to put them back up, as they simply fall off again.
I would even be gracious about the fact that I am sticking them on a ceiling and gravity does actually work... but here's the real kicker -- they're the ONLY decals that are having problems. X-wings, the USS Enterprise and other various starships are having no problems at all sticking to the ceiling.

Love these stars

These glow in the dark star are the best. I think they just make the star wars room that we set up for my almost five year old son. My daughter loves them too and we all like to sit in there in the dark and admire the glowing effect. They also stick well and can be repositioned well by little hands.

Great stars

I read previous reviews before I purchased and wasn't sure what to expect, but I am extremely happy with these. We have popcorn ceilings so I had to scrape off before putting them up, but even on a rough surface they sticked and they glow for a long time. We just keep the blinds open during the day and the light on for about 30 minutes before bed time. I would buy these again.

My son is 18 months and doesn't quite get the stars thing yet.. but he does like looking at them...and so do I...they are lovely!! I'm going to buy another pack, so the whole room can light up..

Perfect in our sons Batman bedroom! Easy to stick on & most excited b/c they won't rip the wall when it's time to take them down in a couple of years! He loved the glow in the dark effect! Very fun!!

Purchased these stars a few months ago and we love them! I painted the ceiling a dark blue and placed the stars on the ceiling. At night, turn on the lights for a few minutes and the stars glow for a while but long enough til your child falls asleep. bought them a moon that lights up and a planet mobile and we have an instant galaxy. My boys love their rooms now and look forward to star gazing. I like how the stars are visible during the day too. Not sure why Potterybarn Kids doesn't sell these anymore. Everyone who sees my boys' rooms wants these stars.

WORST EVER!!

These stars are HORRIBLE! After reading the other mixed reviews we decided to try them... they are yellowish (not white), do NOT glow in the dark (not even a little bit) and some are already starting to peel off of the ceiling after 2 weeks. I bought 300 and am returning them. We are so sad and disappointed, as PBK merchandise is usually top quality. My advice, go with the cheap plastic ones :(

It is a true galaxy. These stars look amazing!! I painted the ceiling a dark blue and randomly placed 300 stars in our boys' playroom. Great effect. Very very easy to apply and remove.

Son's new room

We put 400 stars on the ceiling after painting it dark blue. The stars look great and my sons loves it. We also have the planets hanging from the ceiling. The stars were easy to put up and move if needed. They are a lot better quality than the plastic ones you buy from other stores. We love room.

Not what I was hoping for....

Sadly, I find the stars look cheap and tacky during the day light. They glow in the dark for only a few minutes, then they fade away. .....Now, I put them on a white ceiling. Maybe they only look good on a dark blue/black ceiling.

I love this stars, they look great in my sons room, he was so happy when he saw all the stars placed on the wall he gave me a huge kiss and said "thank you mommy, i love my stars".

I am really pleased with these stars - I expected them to be like the ones I have seen in other stores - horrible slighly raised yellow plastic stars, but they are not, they are flat paper decals and they look so much better. I purchased 600 stars for my 2 year old son's new big boy room along with the planets and all the other decor.

My daughter was thrilled with these star decals. My husband and I made the constellations on her ceiling and we stare at them every night for a few minutes after the light goes out. We are buying another set for our newest child.

Stunning effect

400 randomly placed stars on an indigo blue ceiling created a stunning effect for camping out uner the stars at Granny's house. Easy to apply and remove without marking the paint. The hanging of the sun/planets globes to complete the look.

the glow is dull and disappears very quickly. my kids were so excited at first but when they faded after a few minutes the disappointment was fierce. we tried leaving a light directly on for 1/2 hour but did not help.
