Kinda Neat
July 14, 2010
These metal/chalk boards are neat because you can write on them, but they are metal and look a little unfinished with no frame. The green was lighter than I expected so I was a little disappointed, but the red looked like the picture. I think they were worth the clearance price but not more.

I really love the size of this item. Plenty of space for art and school work. Easy for my kiddos to use too.

We like them!
February 11, 2010
I installed a cork bard and red magnetic chalkboard in our kitchen to create a message center. I installed them on the side of a cabinet, so I used the command strips to install and it worked perfectly. (I did not want to damage my cabinet with screws). I do agree the paint scratches easily, but they are generally covered with messages and magnets, so it looks fine.

Cheap, not in great shape, but the kids like it.
February 9, 2010
Ordered 4 of these. 2 came in brand new condition, the other 2 had some very noticeable surface scratches and I could not discern if they were used or just mishandled. The items are relatively cheap...they are hollow metal panels painted with that "chalkboard paint" so that it serves as both a chalkboard and a magnet board. Problem is, the paint scratches very easily. When the kids put a magnet on it and then move the magnet, it leaves behind a trail of scratches. One other item to note, the nail holes on each one are not exact from one panel to the next, so exact measuring for your screw holes will still result in the panels not hanging uniformly. Kids love them, but overall they're relatively cheap and likely won't last very long.

Very neat but very hard to install!
January 3, 2010
I love PBK products and bought 2 magnet boards & 2 cork boards for my son's room. They are the perfect size & look great; HOWEVER, they (like most of my other wall products from PBK) were very hard to install! The mounting hardware is not user friendly. Be sure to measure twice & mount once!
