Spider-Man(TM) Backpacks
Super Heroes need gear that's durable, tough and always ready to go - just like they are. Made from rugged, water-resistant 600-denier polyester. Small backpack holds a lunch bag, 2 small notebooks, 2 books, and a water bottle. Large and Rolling hold a lunch bag, 1 large notebook, 2 small notebooks, several books, and a water bottle. Rolling backpack features sturdy wheels and straps that can be stored behind a fabric panel when used as a rolling backpack. Small, Large, and Rolling backpacks feature an MP3 player pocket cutout for headphone cords. All backpacks have adjustable straps that are contoured and padded to ensure a comfortable fit; padded back panel adds extra cushioning. Exterior straps hold a lunch bag (sold separately) securely in place. Exterior side pockets are designed to hold our Klean Kanteen water bottles (sold separately). Personalization is available for an additional $7.00.

Only lasted 3 months

My 1st grader started using this at the end of August, one strap is completely frayed and it can't be adjusted. He only carries a lunch box and a folder. It has only lasted him 3 months. Not worth the $$

Perfect Backpack for boys

I love this backpack. I got the Batman one for my oldest son and when it came in, my 3 year old was so sad that he didn't have one. I noticed that they had the spiderman design available too and decided to get it for him. He was SO happy when he received it. He uses it everyday for daycare. We also used it for a two day trip and we were able to pack all his belongings in it. Both of may children have enjoyed using these backpacks for school, and trips. It is very well made and I'm sure we will be able to use it next year too.

I really wanted this to better quality!

I believed that PB kids would have better quality products. My kids used these backpacks for about a month (from August 21st, 2012 to September 25th, 2012) - about a month and they are in 4th and 2nd grades; they carry a couple of plastic folder which are their homework folder not heavy stuff. The bottom lunch strap was literally stuck together with glue. The glue just fell apart, and the clasp has fallen off. My other son has the batman one, and at the handle on the top, the cloth is ripping from the seams.
Hope this helps other users... good lucK if you do choose to buy it. Remember, PBK stand behind their product only for 30 days!

Fun for a character backpack

My 3 y.o. daughter loves, loves Spider-Ma. I don't care for character related stuff but PBK makes it easy to approve of character stuff because this is cute and tasteful. It is not loud and obnoxious! Needless to say she has the lunchbox too!

TOTALLY WORTH EVERY PENNY

We were blown away with the quality of this backpack. My son went through 2 cheaper ones last school year during kindergarten. They really have a kid in mind when they designed this bag. Durable and the pockets, zippers and fasteners are excellent. I love how the lunch box fastens on. He left his lunch box at school so many times last year - Not now. My son loves it and I will not ever buy a cheap backpack again. Pottery barn - I am forever coming here for his backpacks!

Doesn't hold up

I purchased this backpack and matching lunch box last year. I spent the extra money because I was interested in durability, but after a month the entire handle on the lunch box (made with same red and blue nylon straps you see on the backpack) had completely unravelled. In addition, the top (buckling) strap on the backpack snapped at the seam. I'm hoping this is a defect in that type of nylon and trying a different PBK backpack with solid (not striped) nylon. I had no problems at all with my daughter's back pack and lunch box and after examining the nylon, I see that the spiderman is more slippery and has looser stitching toward the outer edges. The solid colored nylon has reenforced stitching at the edges.

Nice looking and excellent quality

My son really wanted a Hero backpack and I was so happy to find the PB Spiderman collection.
He's really happy with it, and all his friends love it too. I like that it's not like the typical character backpacks. It's super nice looking and durable too. The small backpack is perfect for kindergarden and maybe grade 1 & 2. My son is tall for 5 and it's perfect. It fits a binder, book and lunchbox without being huge on him. Love this backpack for my son and will buy a PB backpack again!

PBK backpacks are the best! Both my son and daughter have had PBK backpacks for a couple of years now. My daughter's after 2 years is still in great condition, just a little dingey from scuffs and such. My son's (Spiderman) is in like new condition after 2 years. They both have the large size bp and the cooordinating lunchbags and water bottles. Will be ordering new designs this year!

they don't make things like they used to...

The hero back packs are super cute and a hit with the kids, but even without loading much in the bag it didn't make it a school year without fraying and ripping.
Considering I still have, and use, my back pack from high-school I was disappointed.
