You'll flip your [frozen] lid over this product!
May 21, 2013
This food storage container has a lid with a difference! Why use the same ole same ole when you can use this Pottery Barn Kids container with the freezable lid pack? Stupendous idea! I put carrott sticks and a lil ranch dressing cup in this ingenious invention and my edibles stay chilled and delicious. 5 stars...

too hard to open for younger kids
May 15, 2013
My soon to be Kindergartner could not open this and if she was able to the result would be food thrown everywhere. The lid was just too tight.

Favorite Food Storage Container
May 9, 2013
This is my favorite food container to pack in my kindergartener's lunchbox! It is extremely versital and holds just about anything! Her favorite lunch to find inside this container is half a sandwich on one side and veggies on the other! I've even put homemade pizza crust on one side and the toppings on the other! I need to order more of these containers myself, they are very handy!
My only concern with the product is the lid is hard for my daughter to open. She usually has to ask for help from her teacher. Over the next year or so, as her strengh develops, I'm sure she will be able to open the container herself.

Love these!
April 16, 2013
We have several of these and they are fantastic! Everything stays cold and I love the divider. My Daughter prefers these over the ones without the divider. Cleans up nice on the top rack of dishwasher.

Second Purchase
April 4, 2013
I bought this at the beginning of the school year and I'm pleased with my purchase. My toddler goes to a Mother's Day Program and uses this all the time. We loved it so much now that we're going to summer camps etc we bought a second one to have on hand. Love the quality, purpose and size. No regrets here.

Great Dual Lunch Box
January 26, 2013
I really love this lunch box containor. I love the colors and the fact that it comes with it's own built in ice pack in the lid.
My only issue is that getting the ice pack in lid out can be hard to do. I wish pottery barn would come up with a better way to get the lid out so you can frezze it.

so far so good
September 11, 2012
I'm using this in my daughter's lunchkit to keep food cool and fresh and so far it has worked great. It's obviously made with high quality materials and we are happy. I'm thinking about buying some more. Thanks.

PBK missed the mark...
September 4, 2012
We just started our second year of using these containers. We had trouble last year when my daughter started Kindergarten and I thought I could use them another year for 1st grade. The lids do not stay tight at all and they barely fit into the PBK lunchbox we also have. I'm writing this now as I've just washed the lunchbox from watermelon juice all over the place! I love PBK and my opinion of them and their merchandise has not changed. I just think they missed the mark on these and maybe the "mechanics" need some re-working.

spencer dual compartment is great
August 31, 2012
I ordered the lavender one for my daughter, we tested it since it is for the new school year starting next. In my opinion this is perfect for foods that have little or no gravy/juice. for foods with to much liquid i will still juice the thermos containers. But this is perfect for to take dinner leftovers for lunch. Mine is not hard to open. Fits in mackensie lunch box with room to spare.

Not My Favorite
August 19, 2012
I loved the idea oof this product when I saw it in the catalog so I promptly ordered two (one for each child's lunch box).
However, once I actually used it I wasn't very impressed. There is a space in the top so any juice that may be produced on one side (by, lets say, strawberries) leak to the other side.
Also, while the freezable pack worked to keep the food cool, it didn't stay in the lid and fell out easily.
I actually returned both of them. This may work great for other people but it just wasn't for us.

Spencer Dual Compartment Food Storage
August 12, 2012
Love all of the pb food storage items. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of 5 is the fact that they are not dishwasher safe and have to be hand washed. I have several sets of these and they have held up for over 2 years, for 3 boys lunches.

Great for my niece's daily snacking needs
July 25, 2012
I love PBK's containers. My two daughters (7 and 3 years) have been using them for a couple of years now and they hold up well - no dings, craks, scracthes, or staining.
I highly recommend them to all of my mommy girlfriends. Now my niece will enjoy one too. Perfect, useful, easy to clean, durable, cute!!!

Spencer Storage
June 29, 2012
I love all things PBK but I would not recommend this for anyone. I don't think its airtight at all. The top is hard to get off but if you tilt it, any liquid inside will come out. I still use it because it is attractive but after I pack it, I seal it in a big plastic baggie. I still love anything PBK and I always will. This will not stop me from shopping here. I bought it for my son, Spencer.

Takes up most of lunchbox...
June 23, 2012
I bought this container to go in the Classic MacKenzie Girl's Lunch Bag, but it takes up most of the lunchbox leaving no room for a sippy cup. Buy smaller Spencer containers.

Practical
April 30, 2012
It is great that it comes with a freezable pack attached to the lid. Food stays fresh. On the other hand, my 3 year old daughter can not open the container, even for an adult it is difficult to open.

Meh to the food storage
October 8, 2011
Although I normally love my purchases and gush over them for weeks, this is just MEH. I ordered one for each of our 3 children. I love the freezer piece that fits in the top lid. The divider, however, does not EXACTLY divide. The kids wanted yogurt / granola just like the picture. The granola sneaks over and gets soggy in the yogurt. Gross. I've started using it for hard items only. Disappointing. :-(

simply good ...
September 30, 2011
it's a simple design that works great for my kid. Great that it comes with built in ice pack, he doesn't mind having cold(not chilled) foods, and I usually foil-wrap his sandwiches, etc. so it doesn't get soggy. It's not too thick so the food doesn't get too chilled at all.. Just right for his little snacks. size is good so he can eat by himself and not spill or too tight space for him to put his spoon into also. I got all spencer lunch boxes so he can take different foods everyday. This way he knows what's his and what's not his.
