Lunch Favorite
May 9, 2013
My kindergarten daughter uses this container in her lunch, at least once a week. She really likes having chips/dip, veggies/dip, etc... as part of her lunch! She also had a special treat on her birthday with icing and graham crakers inside this containter!
My only concern is the lid on the main container and the lid on the dip container are tough for her to open. She usually has to ask for help from her teacher or cafeteria aid. I'm sure she will be able to open them on her own within the next year or so.

Fineally one that fits my lunch box
January 26, 2013
Thank you pottery barn for making a food storage box that fits my lunch bag.
I have the restro style lunch bag from the maceinze coccletion.
Having a food storage contaior to fit is awsome beyond belivef.
I mostly use it to pack salads and the center part to pack dressing.
I order two of these conatiors and i'm thinking of ordering more.

Kids used 3-4 times and the inner dip lid broke. Can't just get replacement lids. Very frustrating.

Don't fall for it
October 10, 2012
I was thrilled with my purchase for about a week. The lid for the dip container broke after 5 uses. You can't buy replacement lids for the inner dip compartment, so now I'm stuck with an overpriced container with a big plastic circle in the middle which serves no practical purpose what so ever. What a waste of money.

Inner Lid Cracked
June 27, 2012
As with several earlier reviews, the inner lid to my container cracked after a few uses. I just got off the phone with a PBKids representative named Brittany, who informed me that there is no way PBK can replace the inner lid only. (She did helpfully tell me that I could order another full set.) I am irritated for two reasons. First, this appears to be inconsistent with what other customers have been told. Second, for this price, I would expect much better quality and customer service. Very disappointed.

Was great for four uses...
June 5, 2012
I was so excited when I saw this because it's perfect for my toddler who likes carrot sticks with dip. Despite the fact that I thought it was a bit overpriced, I went ahead and purchased it because it was such a great idea. Sadly, after just four uses the lid to the dip compartment was cracked! I never washed it in the dishwasher, always by hand. Out of nowwhere it was cracked! I never washed in the dishwahser, aleays by hand. I called PB to see if they would send me a new one because as inmentioned before, it wasn't cheap and I got very minimal use out of it which is not what I expect from PB. The customer service representative was very helpful and understood my frustration and she is sending me a new one. I hope this one is good PB quality??

Great idea but unfortunately not quality
May 4, 2012
I like this whole concept and I use it a lot for my son's lunch but it's poor quality. I have to put a rubber band around the container to keep the lid on. I have a couple other containers from this collection and they all do the same thing. The dip container part is tall and thin so it's good for long snacks like celery and carrots but not for chips.

Inner Lid Split
May 4, 2012
We purchased this item in the fall to use in my daughter's lunchbox. It was used less than 10 times before the inner lid split and now the item is useless. I was surprised to see this design flaw as normally PB Kids items are of higher quality.

split lid
March 1, 2012
I have two of these containers. I bought them at the beginning of the school year this year. Used each about 3 times, & the lids for the dip container split. I am so upset, as it makes the container useless.

Split Lid :(
February 11, 2012
In reading some of the other reviews, I can see we are not the only ones with the inner lid that split. We've had this for over a year but I think maybe only used it about 4 times and it has never been in the dishwasher or used roughly in any way. The idea is great, but it takes up so much room in the lunchbox that I didn't find it very useful. I agree with another reviewer that the inner dip compartment is just a bit too small. Also, it would be great if the entire container had a divider so you could pack maybe crackers and veggies without the risk of something getting soggy. I would not replace this item unless they redesigned it. Otherwise, I'm a huge fan of all the other Spencer containers and have used them daily for years, for multiple kids with no problems, though I have always handwashed them only.

So close, yet......
February 11, 2012
I was super excited by all of the promises of healthy snacks, dips, etc, until the lids split on both of the containers. I hand washed all parts, demonstrated to the kids how to gently put the lids on, etc. Within a couple of months the lids split. SUPER frustrating! Don't waste your money on this product.

Needs a design tweak
January 12, 2012
I love this chip-and-dip container and use it often for packing hummus and veggies or peanut butter and apple slices in my child's Mackenzie classic lunch bag. However, I think PBK needs to tweak the design to make the dip compartment inside slightly wider. It's so narrow that only very thinly sliced veggies will fit into it for dipping (it's even too narrow for dipping crackers). If PBK widens the dip compartment, even a little, it would be a perfect product.

Loved it til the lid split
December 17, 2011
Like some reviewers, I loved this container, and my child used it for lunchbox salads. But the inner "dip" lid cracked in half, after two months of ownership, and very gentle use. I knew others had had this same problem, but thought if I was gentle and careful, surely the splitting lids were a fluke. Turns out not...these just don't hold up. Great idea, poor construction.

Chip and dip
October 17, 2011
My children like the chip and dip container. We have used it mainly for veggies or apples and dip. However my youngest (7 year old) came home upset because her inner lid broke. Can still use for thick things like peanut butter but not ranch. Over all it serves the purpose for us
