I bought 3 backpacks and...
July 23, 2012
I bought 3 backpacks and all had patches added to them. Two of the three patches were falling off the bags. This would not have been too bad, if I didn't already give the presents to my nieces...for which I paid for rushed shipping...which arrived late.

Just the right size
June 14, 2012
This is just the right size for our 4 & 5 year olds! We got each of them one of these for our summer trip and we'll send our 5 year old to kindergarten with his in the fall! They LOVE them ...our 4 year old wears his around the house constantly. Good quality, love the personalization, love the color choices! (We got a third for our 3rd boy so he can have a matching one too...although, he's 8 months old right now and can't really use it himself yet :)

Rugged little guy
May 23, 2012
I bought this last year for a rough and tumble kindergartener and it was cool, practical and the perfect size He loved it and has already requested a new one for first grade in a new color! The only problem with the current one is that it is really dirty, despite spot cleaning. The monogram was exact on this and the lunch pack.

Looks great, but not durable
May 18, 2012
My son has been using this backpack for preschool for the entire school year. Within a month of using it, the elastic on the side pocket came undone from the backpack. While the pocket is still functional, it won't keep a cup or any other item in place without falling out. Otherwise I have been happy with the quality of the product, at least it isn't falling apart like the PB Darth Vader backpack my other son is using.

great backpack/don't get personalized
April 24, 2012
First the backpack is super cute. However, the personalization was completely off centered and slanted. It simply should have never been sent out like that. This is the FOURTH time we've had to send something back due to horrible personalization. I'd say buy the backpack and save your money on getting it personalized. It's not worth the hassle. There seems to be a lot of negative feedback about the personalization and PBK needs to take note of it.

Okay Bag
April 13, 2012
When I first got this bag, I was so excited. It was the perfect size for my son who was starting kindergarden. After a few weeks, the fabric where the straps attach started to fray and come apart. He has made it the whole year with this bag, but it will have to be replaced when he starts the first grade.

Backpack Great/Personalization Not
March 28, 2012
First off, I love the product itself. However, I wouldn't recommend getting any personalization done. I ordered the backpack and matching lunchbox, both with my son's name on them. The initial order arrived and the wrong thread color was used on both. I also noticed (and my husband noticed) that my sons name on the lunchbox was very slanted. I sent them back and received replacements (later than quoted, but I understand a delivery quote's a quote and not a guarantee). The replacement backpack and lunchbox had the correct thread color, but this time my sons name on the backpack was slanted and going down toward the right. I called PBK and they asked me to send it back a 3rd time and this time they'll make sure it's correct. Frustrating!!

Can't fit a library book or folder
March 13, 2012
I was so disappointed that this backpack is just too small for kindergarten. They don't carry heavy things, but still have a lunch box, folder, and library book, and maybe even stick a jacket in there--not a chance. Not even the books or folder. I got a lot of crumpled artwork home :( We are devoted fans of the larger Fairfax backpacks. They have lasted us years and fit tons. But sadly, too big for kindergarteners.
