I purchased the smaller chair based on other reviews because I thought my one year old would grow into it. I wish it were bigger but this does make it easier to transport with the handle. The cover seems durable enough and she loves to grab the dog's ears so there is added fun there. Fit-wise, it was extremely hard to get the foam into it but I love that it's slightly tough foam so I know it won't become a mushy chair anytime soon. I could see using the same foam pieces for the next child since we had this one embroidered with her name. As far as it goes for use with a one year old, it was a clear favorite over all of the Christmas gifts. She is in it throughout the day. Also to note is that it doesn't tip over easily, at least for a 20 pound child. She stands in it often (we are working on that) so I'm glad to see that she doesn't topple over with each attempt. The fabric is taught so it doesn't look disheveled like some of the chairs I saw in other high-end stores.
