Low value for the money

I gave this product a 3-Star for being overpriced. I purchased the 42" red shelf. The assembly instructions were straight forward and it was simple to install. The hanging part requires a level and good measuring skills. The measurement needs to be accurate as the margin for error is very small. Overall, it's a functional shelf. This product is overpriced for 4 pieces of pine and some inexpensive hooks. The price should be 50% less.

I Finally Found the Shelf I had Been Looking For

We had been looking for this type of shelf for at least a year. It is very sturdy - can handle several jackets and bags. Highly recommend it. Love the color.

For the price was disappointed with the quality. Upon putting together the screw holes were not drilled deep enough leaving a gap between the boards. The assembly process was ok. Instead of having an antique look the boards have brushed paint and a couple of "cracks". For the price overall was expecting a better product.

super cute & very sturdy

These are adorable shelves. I bought two, both 36", one red and one white. The white we used in our entry way for coats, keys, backpacks. It isn't bright white and looks sort of distressed. It is very sturdy. The red we put in the kids Dr. Seuss bathroom and it looks fantastic. The pegs are great as the kids use pbk's bath wraps instead of regular towels. I am giving this review 4 stars instead of 5 because when it arrived the entire thing has to be assembled. It is delivered as 4 pieces of wood with pegs you have to screw in yourself.

poor quality

This was just shipped to my house. I was very disappointed to find I had to assemble the whole thing- even screw in the hooks. I would have thought for the price of this shelf, it would have at least been assembled. The appearance is cute, but the quality is poor for the price. I should have just bought something at a discount chain.

Very disappointed

I have been looking forever for the perfect shelf with hooks for my children to hang their coats on in our mudroom and saw this Riley shelf. I was very disappointed in the quality immediately when I opened the box. I thought I would be getting a shelf with a bit of an antique look, one that looked like the cottage table and chair set that I have from PBK. However, the paint looked like it was brushed on. Literally, you can see the brush strokes. To me, that's not a high quality look. I was expecting a solid off white color with some distressing around the edges. I repainted it and distressed the edges myself which I was reluctant to do with an expensive shelf. I wish that I would have returned it instead.
