most original lamp ever!
March 11, 2012
My 2 1/2 year old son is a train enthusiast, and when I found this lamp I knew he would love it. The day we picked up the lamp, my son's face lit up like it was Christmas! He has to go see the lamp at least 5 times a day in his room. The construction of the lamp is very good & sturdy, and I love how it has different modes for the flashing railroad crossing lights. A must have for your little train lover!

Cute Decoration
January 6, 2012
My 3 year old, train lover, loves this lamp. It looks great in his room. I am a little concerned with the red lights, not sure if they can be replaced, which is why I didn't give it 5 stars.

The coolest lamp ever!
August 24, 2011
My son is 2 and loves trains and when we were recently in a Pottery Barn Kids store he gasped when he saw it :). It's a great light- very different, sturdy and a must for any little one who loves trains and train signs. We went with the red shade- I tried the other colors, but the red definitely works the best for this lamp.

Great lamp for train lovers
August 10, 2011
My three-year-old train aficionado loves this lamp. It is solidly constructed, with options to have just the red lights on, just the bulb on, both the bulb and red lights on, or all off. A couple of notes: In spite of the picture on Pottery Barn Kids, which shows the red lights as yellow, they are in fact red. That said, unlike real railroad crossing lights that alternate their blinks, the red lights blink on and off and the same time. Maybe not a big deal (my son doesn't care), but it does make the lamp a little bit less "authentic."
