Chenille Braided Rug
Braided rag rugs are a colorful American tradition - and we've added our own twist with supersoft cotton chenille. Handcrafted of yarn-dyed fiber by artisan rug makers. Fully reversible for twice the wear. Each rug is entirely unique and features the slight variations characteristic of a handmade piece. Green/Brown is Catalog / Internet only. Crafted in the USA.

Poor Quality

I was thrilled at how the rug looked in my sons room when I first purchased the rug. But after less than 3 weeks and only 3 vacuums it's already ripping up. It's hard to explain but the colored portion of the two sides of the rug are wrapped around a white core, so when the rug rips in tiny sections the white is what shows. I had read other reviews about the poor quality but thought the other rugs were flukes. They aren't. Only purchase this if the rug will be used in rooms that are rarely used. I gave it two stars because I love the color and softness.

Poor Quality

I had this rug in my son's room. Within a few months it was completely unraveling which I couldn't understand. The room didn't get a lot of traffic and I cleaned it like I clean all my other rugs (vacuum with my stick vac during the week and vacuum with my full sized vacuum on weekends). I recently moved and the rug was in such bad shape I had to throw it out.

Chenille Rug Falls Apart

I purchased this rug for my son's nursery. I liked the look of this rug and it seemed like a good value. Within a few months, the individual "ropes" of the rug fell apart. I vacuumed it about once a week, but it did not have any unusual wear. Poorly constructed and falls apart easily...

Beautiful and soft

We got this rug for our daughter's nursery and just love the colors and softness. It goes with everything and has held up well so far.

very poor quality

We had a different color of this same chenille oval rug from Pottery Barn kids for our bedroom and were extremely disappointed. It unraveled badly after vacumming and we had to hand stitch it back together many times. It also stained really bad and just looked terrible overall - not at all resistant to stains or dirt. Too bad because these rugs start out cute.

Very cute, goes with a lot; not very durable

I should start off by admitting that we have had this rug for 5 years now--bought it for my son's nursery. What I love about it is that it's very versatile--it goes with a lot given all the colors in it. It's a really nice looking rug. Unfortunately, it does not hold up very well. My son has never really played in his room so it doesn't see all that much foot traffic...but it still has a hole in it from just normal wear and tear. The hole started forming about two years ago, and now it is noticeable. We'll need to replace the rug soon, which is too bad because as he continues to grow, the style still works.

This rug is so CUTE and looks great with the Kasey crib bedding. It added the finishing touches to our nursery.

Doesn't hold up

This rug looked great for a little while, but it really didn't hold up to my kids' wear and tear. It has a hole in it, not to mention how stained it looks. It didn't clean well, either. I mentioned this to one of the sales persons in the store where I bought it. She said they had the same problem with the chenille rugs that they put on display in the store. She said they look terrible after a very short amount of time.
If your rug doesn't get a lot of traffic, then you'll probably be fine. If you're like me, it won't take long for it to look really worn out. We turned ours over to get extra life out of it.

I just bought this rug today and I love it! It is soft and the colors are just beautiful. It is going to be a nice complement to the new bedding I just ordered, also from PBK. I am always happy with my PBK purchases and the customer service can't be beat.

We got this rug for our nursery and are so pleased with the quality. I was also pleasantly surprised that the colors are more vivid than they appear in the picture. I love the fact that it's reversible, so I won't have to worry too much if there are any major "mishaps" as our son grows.

Great braided rug

I have had this braided rug for about a year now and it has held up great. We bought it for an entry way/playroom area at our old house but have since moved so now it is an area rug in a family room and gets daily use. It holds up to the every day traffic and cleaning. I would definately buy it again and recommend it!
