I'm crazy about this backpack. It is perfect for my little guy. The straps are easily adjusted and durable. I'm so delighted with our purchase and will be looking to get the nap mat to match

Sooo cute, but TOO SMALL!
March 9, 2013
The backpack is very cute and very well made, but the size is too small. I also bought the lunch box that matches and it barely fits inside the backpack. If you want to store something else inside with the lunch box, there is no room. I would give this backpack 5 stars if the size was bigger.

It's small for a little guy!
January 25, 2013
I purchased this for my one year old to take to daycare along with the matching lunch box and nap mat. It is super small but it will carry all he needs (change of clothes, small book, sippy cup). The lunch box can be used for food and snacks. I've purchased a preschool sized MacKenzie backpack previously for my older son and this one is of heavier weight and feels like better quality. I still love the MacKenzie though. The rocket ship theme is sooo cute!

Right Sized for a Little Guy
October 18, 2012
I picked this up for my 24 month old to bring a change of clothes and a nap buddy to his nursery school without me having to drag an unnecessarily large bag around.
We had it personalized and that looked nice but the stitching on the appliques was terrible. I called customer service and they rushed me out a new personalized backpack that did not suffer from the same finishing issues the first did.
Yes, it is very small but it is consistently sized with a PBKids' other pre-k backpacks my older kids have used and competitor products I've scoped out. If you are looking for something sized well for a 4 year old, look at the "small" backpacks in some of the other collections.
All in all, I'd recommend it for a little kid's pack. My son loves that it is a rocket ship and it fits his little clothes and nap buddy perfectly. Best part, he loves wearing it so now he can carry his own stuff around.

Too small
September 10, 2012
This is a super cute backpack BUT it is so small. I mean, it's basically the same size as the lunch box!! The shoulder straps also aren't padded and the zipper is tough for my little guy to open. All in all, its just not practical. It's cant even hold a folder or notebook.

This backpack is true to size (Note sizes in the description) and is perfect for my preschooler and the items he needs for his 2 1/2 hour school day! Very good quality, so I think it will last throughout the entire year!

I so wanted to like this...
July 25, 2012
What a cute backpack - too bad it is itty bitty! It is the size of the lunch bags. Do not buy this for a back pack! My preschooler was so disappointed! The pictures on the site are very misleading. We thought it would be great for preschool, but it might be okay as a non-insulated lunchbag. What a disappointment (especially since we had it monogrammed)...Oy.
