Preschool Fairfax Backpacks
Our rugged preschool backpack is designed with roomy pockets and heavy-duty zippers that keep essentials safe and secure. 9" wide x 4.5" deep x 11.5" high Fits children who are 36-42" tall. Made from rugged, water-resistant 600-denier polyester. Holds two small books, a sweater, small school supplies, e.g., crayons, a snack and a favorite small toy. Sized very small to be gentle on little backs, and perfect for toting a snack and an extra sweater. Detailed with reflective threads for safety. Adjustable straps are contoured and padded to ensure a comfortable fit; padded back panel adds extra cushioning. Personalization is available for an additional $7.00.

Useless for preschool

Its a cute little backpack, but it has no use at preschool. It's not tall enough or wide enough to fit anything that is the standard 8 by 11. Sorely disappointed and a little angry - I have to shop again.

Patch falling off

I agree with other reviews that it is ridiculously small - but my real issue is that after taking it on the first trip we've taken since I purchased it, the patch on the front is peeling off. It should have been stitched on instead of glued. Very cheap - not happy pottery barn.

So disappointed in color.

I asked for this specific color as a gift and it was personalized. It says green and turquoise but the turquoise letters didnt end up matching the bag. And the green in the pictures is a beautiful vibrant lime. In person its like pastel green.
So disappointed. First time being disappointed in PBK products.

Smaller than expected but great quality

Maybe I should have paid closer attention to the measurements but this is a very small bag. It is more for the child to play with than to use as a bag to cary essentials. Though it is adorable, I have no problem with the quality or style. The shoulder straps do fall off of my two year old when he tries to wear it on his back and that is with the straps as tight as they will go.

Perfect for a preschooler

I got this for my 2.5 y/o son who is starting pre-preschool in the fall...he literally will not put it down and wants to wear it everywhere. It is definitely for little kids, not "real" school, but it's adorable.

Super cute and made well

I love these backpacks! I have twin boys that just turned 2 and started a Mother's Day Out program. Did we really need backpacks? No. But did I HAVE to get these? Yes! And I got the matching lunch bags as well. We got the boys' names embroidered and a shark and alligator patch as well. They think they're "so cool!" They've held up great so far and I see them outlasting my boys' love of sharks and alligators :)

Adorable but..

I bought this for my 18 month old to take back and forth to daycare but it is WAY too small. I had read the other reviews and should have gone with the next size up.

I ordered this for my 4 year old son to carry to pre-school. It is very small, more like for a 2 year old. It barely holds a portable DVD player for our upcoming plane ride to Florida. The alligator patch was barely glued on and he pulled it off within 5 minutes. The monogramming is thin and off- centered. However, the backpack itself does seem durable and has nice padding on the shoulders and back. I will not order again.

great backpack

We ordered 3 of these for my grandsons - ages 1, 2, and 2. They arrived very quickly - great monogramming and just the right size for a toddler backpack.
