Penelope Shade & Payton Base
With the appeal of graceful antique candlesticks, this lamp base makes a beautiful addition to a child's room. Pair it with the gracefully flared silhouette of our Penelope Shade. Payton Lamp Base is made of lathe-turned wood. Base features our exclusive Sun Valley finish. Hi/lo switch on table lamp. Three-way switch on floor lamp. UL-listed. Penelope Shade (sold separately) is cotton percale with polyester lining. All our shades are designed with an UNO fitter for securing shade to base. Great lamp and shade

I have had 2 of these lamps and shades and they are beautiful. They hold up well and look gorgeous in my kids bedrooms. I would highly recommend them.

I purchased two lamps for a gift and the person that received them loved them. Beautiful shade and base. Looks great in the bedroom! Would definitely recommend them!

Love the lamp, but what a headache to order!

They have it in stock, no they don't, yes they do... PB couldn't make up their minds about the touch lamp base I had originally wanted to order, so after a week of back and forth I was told they did not have anymore so I ended up getting the payton base. The lamp is very nice and looks great in the room, but not sure it was worth the headache. Unfortunately, this happened again a couple of months later when I tried to order the matching sconce. I was told their computer system is not very quick to show/update shipment arrivals/available product quantities and that's why there was the back and forth.

The nursery table lamp

The lavender Penelope shade and espresso Payton base look adorable on the dresser in our daughter's nursery. It coordinates perfectly with the Payton floor base and pulls the nursery look together. We really like the three-way high/low touch feature on the base. We love the lamp and shade!

Great Lamp

I have had this lamp since I was little and it still works and looks great. Its really handy that it's a touch lamp. The green looks more yellow green then in the picture though.

great, but not compatiable

This shade is awesome but not compatiable with PBTEEN bases....shade has UNO fitter and their bases require Spider fitter....so shade is extremely wobbly and can't even use harp and finial---hoping to find some type of attachment or something to gix problem....the whole in shade fitter is just larger than the norm.

Adorable lamp!

I own a couple of these, yes Pottery Barns "white" is more of an Ivory, but it still pairs very well with my childrens white furniture, they are very good quality, sure to be one of those lamps the babies can use until they leave for college!!

well constructed, beautiful light pink shade. It was too large for my lamp base, but that was my fault for not measuring the circumference. I have ordered the quilt set for my granddaughter, the flower rug, the stuffed owl friend, and have been exceedingly happy with the quality of all of the purchases.

Wrong Shade

This shade does not fit any floor lamp. I had a floor lamp and purchased the shade to go with it. It turns out that you have to buy the lamp from pottery barn too. Then I had to pay to ship it back. Bummer!

Quality versus color

I purchased these lamps for myself. I am in my second childhood at 87, so thought the bright shade would perk up my room. However, although the quality is excellent, I was dissapointed in the shade colors. The picture shows a very bright lavender, but upon receipt, the shades were a dull very pastel lavender. Almost no color at all . I am not returning due to the expense, but over all they are worth the money. Just a little disappointing in color. I really needed the brightness in my life, but.....

The color sun valley white is a cream color not a pure white. The wood at the bottom of the base is chipping and not smooth.

Both are great quality and well worth the money. I have purchased two shades and one lamp base. I especially like how the lamp has a hi-lo switch. Worked perfect in our nursery for late night feedings.

We just bought this for our daughter who wil lbe born in April. The color of the lamp and shade are just perfect. It is a life saver when trying to save room on furniture.

All time best lamp and shade

This lamp is the all time best lamp. We love the touch light system and the three light levels it provides. Both of my girls have one and they love being able to do their lamp by themselves and setting their own light preference. This lamp is by far the best lamp out on the market.

Gifts for the Grandgirls

I only recieved the lamp shades when I thought I ordered the base with the shade. The shades are made of a better quality workmanship.
