This doll's hair is atrocious; and I'm not a "doll" person and not terribly picky. She looks diseased as there are bald spots all over. For this price, you'd think they could've sewn in more than a couple rows of yarn. I so wish I could post a picture -- you'd never buy this at any price. Seriously.
Also, her shoes keep falling off; but maybe that's a common problem with dolls? Not really a big deal for us.
Unfortunately, she IS soft and my 2 y.o. has become attached so I can't return her now. But I'll tell you, this sad-looking nearly baldheaded doll will forever be a family joke!

The doll is a good size, and I like that it is soft as my daughter likes to sleep with dolls. The hair is a bit disappointing as there really isn't enough to cover the dolls head, leaving colored fabric exposed. Also, the face is such so light, it is hard to see.

Let me first say that my daughter's entire room is outfitted in products from Pottery Barn Kids (bed linens, kitchen, table/chairs, storage baskets, etc.). We love this company; however, Tessa is a terrible disappointment! The yarn doesn't cover her entire head and it is looped in the front, leaving bare spots. I returned the first doll and the second has the same issues. Ugh!

Love the new dolls!

I bought my daughter the Sophie doll from the previous PBK doll collection, last year. She was 3 at the time and loved it, as did I.
I saw the doll bunk bed on sale while in the store a few days ago and wanted to buy it so thought I would add a soft doll to keep Sophie company :) Saw these new PBK dolls and just love them! I ended up buying Rosalie because I'm a red-head and well, she's just the cutest of course! Ha ha.
Yeah, the look is definitely a bit different than last year's dolls but I personally like them a bit better...I think they have very sweet faces and are top-quality, just like the previous version.
Can't wait to give my now 4-year old her new doll and bunk bed for Christmas! :)

What happened to the old cute dolls?

I've always been the biggest fan of the PBK doll collection (the one that included Sophie, Chloe, etc.). I have to say that I'm very disappointed with the new dolls. The bodies of these dolls are the same as the old ones, and their hair is pretty, but what happened to their faces? The old dolls had such sweet, adorable faces; these dolls look like they have sunken in eyes. It looks particularly strange b/c their other facial features are not done that way. I understand the need to change things up every now and then and to offer new doll options with different names, hair, clothes. But why would PBK change the LOOK of them so drastically? Now I'm thinking about buying another of the old ones that are on sale before they're sold out.
