Parker Shade & Mason Touch Lamp Base
Touch technology makes this sturdy iron lamp easy for very young children to turn off and on safely. Pair with our Parker Shade for a classic look. Cast of iron and finished by hand. Touch base offers three levels of brightness. UL-listed. Parker Shade (sold separately) is cotton percale with polyester lining. All our lamp shades are designed with an UNO fitter for securing shade to base.

We love the touch lamp base! It is so easy for our two year old to use and is great for the middle of the night. Would highly recommend this product!

Practical for a nursery...

I am so glad that I went with the touch-base lamp. With a newborn you find your hands tied up quite often so it makes a lot of sense to have a lamp that you can turn off by a simple touch rather than searching for the switch and then having enough leverage to turn it. I paired the oil rubbed bronze base with the light blue parker shade and it goes perfectly with the Larkin furniture! The base is a little loose, although I haven't tried too hard to see if I can tighten it.

Why is pottery barn selling lamps...

...that don't take CFLs? I just got the lamp today and I didn't read the fine print that says no CFLs. Old style florescent bulbs are going bye-bye in a few years so now I don't know what to do. I'm probably going to have to return the lamp because with the shade it was over $1100 and in two years I won't be able to buy bulbs for it anymore. What a waste.

Train Enthusiast Lamp

My grandson is a train enthusiast and is a fanatic about rail road crossings. Now he has a rail road crossing lamp in his bedroom--how neat is that for a 3 year old!
The lamp exceeded our expectations!

I got this in the navy blue color- and its a VERY dark navy blue- my husband thought I ordered a black shade it is so dark...but a good quality shade in general- good seaming, nice shape, etc

You must buy a PB shade with this base.

Just a heads up....my husband and I bought two of these lamp bases recently but did not buy a PB shade because we wanted a white/ivory shade for our son's nursery, which is not offered. However, the lamp base only works with PB lamp shades. We love the base and that it is a touch base but we did not love the fact that nowhere on the website does it tell you that you must use one of PB's shades along with it. This should be labeled very clearly or they should offer more than 3 color options for little boys.

Awesome Touch Lamp!

This is the best lamp for a child's room. My 3-year old can turn it on by himself and he's thrilled! It's also quiet to turn off if he falls asleep with it on. We love it!

Very classic appeal

This lamp is very classy. It's perfect for a little one's room, but is easily something that my son won't outgrow. I LOVE the touch base and the red Parker shade is lovely. My only small complaint would be that the shade just kind of sets on the base, which makes it kind of wobbly if knocked. It's really not a big deal because contact with the shade will be minimal as it won't be necessary to reach under the shade to turn on and off.

I received the Parker shade and Mason Touch lamp base and am pleasantly surprised. When putting my lil one to bed, do not have to make noise when turning off the lamp nor do I have to reach for the pull-cord. I didn't like the price, but thought the size and look was exactly what I envisioned for my son's room.

Super Cool Lamp Base

I recently purchased the Mason Touch lamp base & have absolutely feel in love with it ! I often use it as a night light for the nursery since it has different lighting settings. When paired with the Jared star shade, it makes a great accessory for any little boys' room !

PBKids has a great return policy. Came in to our local store to pick up a new shade and inquire about a repair kit for our son's touch base lamp that was nearly 5 years old. The store promptly offered to exchange our broken lamp for a brand new one, no questions asked. Thanks for the great service.

All lamps should be like this one -- the touch base makes it easy to turn on in the dark, rather than fumbling around for a switch, plus kids can turn it on and off on their own. It's sturdy, it looks great, and it has 3 levels of brightness. Nice work, PBK.

Perfect Lamp

The touch base technology is perfect for kids, no reaching up to turn on or shut off the light. It is adjustable for more light if you are reading, or lower for quiet time. I am thinking of getting one for my elderly mother for her bedside since this also provides easy use, no fumbling in the dark for a switch. Great choice of shades too.
