Not what I expected

I bought this rug for my daughter's room. I loved the colors and it could go with a lot of different beddings. But...it had a terrible grassy/earthy smell that did not go away, even after having it out for a week. The tan color in the rug is vey rough, like rope material. I just didn't think it would be comfortable to play or sit on for a child's room. I ended up returning the rug and am still on the search. I have to mention that the Pottery Barn associate was very helpful and nice about the return.

Using for a boy's baby room. I like the bright colors. The jute and chenille are a good contrast in color and texture. Happy with my purchase.
