Quality is OK
May 8, 2013
I browsed online at Pottery Barn Kids thinking that the product quality would be very good. It actually looks very cute and wood seems heavy and durable. However, the drawers were not good quality. Pulling it out and closing it is not a very smooth glide. Seems a little cheap. In addition, I had to wipe the inside of the drawers aggressively in fear that it would stain any clothes I put in there. After wiping it, the towels were stained orange!! I'll have to buy some liners to line the drawers so it wouldn't stain my daughter's clothes.
Other than that, the delivery was very prompt, and the crew that set it up were very quick (about an hour). They took out all the trash as well.

Love it already!
February 7, 2013
I was so happy to get this piece of furniture delivered. Baby isn't here yet, but we've already put it to use for all of the storage! It really will grow with our child and that is the best part of it all.
Delivery was prompt and crew was great. They had it in the house, up our narrow stairway, and assembled in NO time.

LOVE it!!
January 8, 2013
This changing table system is the best of all worlds...great changing table/hutch with plenty of room to maneveur, built in bookshelves and storage, plus the added feature of the cabinet door with pullout gliding trays - which is a great place for diapers and diaper pail!! Exactly what I was looking for. Also a great piece to grow with my child or eventually move into another room of the house as an accent piece.

Beautiful!
August 28, 2012
Ordered in the Sun Valley Espresso and it's absolutely stunning and is definitely a piece that will grow with my little one throughout the years. I haven't actually put it into use yet as I'm still getting around to organizing all my baby stuff, but there's a ton of drawer and shelf space. So if I ever start to run out of space in this thing, it probably just means that I'm accumulating too much clutter!
Based on the other reviews I've read, I am a little concerned that this piece will get scratched up, but I will take some precautions to place felt pads under baskets and other trinkets I display on here. Thanks to the those reviewers for the heads up.
The delivery guys were great and took a few minutes to explain how all the pieces connect together in case we ever have to move it.
Overall, I'm happy we splurged on this piece. It looks beautiful and appears to be of great quality and sturdiness.

Functional and Beautiful Changing System
March 9, 2012
I purchased this changing system 2 years ago and it still looks like the day I bought it. We purchased the Madison Crib as well, both in white. We absolutely love each. The set is functional, many cubbys, we got the matching bins to store stuff and the labels are awesome. The cabinet space and draws are quite nice, quality is there and I know this will last many years to come and she will grow into it. Everyone has complimented us on this system. We ordered it on back order over 2 years ago, and waited 6 months for it! But so worth the wait and after 2 years of now owning it, we looove it !
We always used PB items and have book cases and many other pieces at least 8 years old and in top shape. We had one issue with a full size bed headboard that was scratched up easily and had a few cracks after 8 months of use but was replaced no questions asked. I totally stand by their stuff and my kids are anything but gentle as one is special needs.

nice - beware of color
June 23, 2011
This is a nice piece of furniture, however it is so "antique white" that is has a yellow tint to it. I even got a wood sample from the retail store to make sure it matched the "antique white" crib I had already been given, and the swatch matched almost exactly. When the Madison system finally arrived (backorder was about 8wks), it was way more antiqued than the color swatch, and looks almost yellow next to my antique white crib. I thought I was doing good by getting a swatch of the actual finish BEFORE I ordered the madison, but I guess it didn't matter. So, its a great piece, just make sure you stick with only furniture from the same line to ensure matching colors.

Useful and Functional - few small flaws
May 15, 2011
I was extremely excited to purchase this changing station for my first child. Overall I am happy with it. I love how much storage is available (I have the canvas totes/boxes as well); and the area for changing is a great size. It fits my changing pad as well as a wipe warmer and lotions without being cluttered.
A few things to consider - First, the door that is able to hold a diaper pail is not large enough for the Diaper Genie Elite II. I had to remove the upper sliding/gliding drawer to make it fit. Also, the bottom piece that slides out of the door doesn't come out as far as I would like. Therefore my Diaper Genie sits as near to the front and at an angle just so it's able to fully open and put in a dirty diaper. Also, we we have Sun Valley Espresso color. It does seem to scratch fairly easily. But nothing I feel that needs to be of major concern.
However overall - I am please with this system and would recommend it. It really is a beautiful and elegant looking piece of furniture.

Great storage changing station
May 11, 2011
This changing system is great because it not only can be used as a changing table but the storage is fantastic and the build of this piece is very lean (not bulky at all) super versatile with the deep drawers and shelves for storage baskets (great for storing dippers, wipes, lotions etc) Got it in Antique white and finish is beautiful. The only thing I wish they did was make the changing table safety block removable so as she grows out of dippers she could use as a vanity. My hubby will just cut it off when the time comes. Great quality piece and goes great with Madison crib!

Nice storage but quality doesn't match the price
May 3, 2011
First, this changing table is very functional and provides a lot of storage. It was exactly what I was looking for and Pottery Barn was the only place I found it. My hope had been to use this furniture from birth to beyond the toddler years. HOWEVER, the finish (a dark wood) immediately began chipping off with very light use and careful cleaning. Also, cleaning the furniture with a bit of Method wood cleaner on a rag would take the finish off. This furniture is WAY too expensive for this to happen. It started to look worn before my son could even crawl.

1 year old and still looks brand new
March 1, 2011
We bought this set in antique white and I can't say enough good things about it...the construction is solid, all the drawers open smoothly. It's heavy enough that I'm not concerned about her tipping it over (though we installed the tip kit just to be safe). We moved to a new house in september and it was easy to take apart and put back together. We changed out the wood knobs for glass ones and it gives it almost an antique look.
When we finish using it in the nursery, I plan on moving it to the playroom to use as an entertainment center.

Great piece of furniture
February 20, 2011
I think the Madison changing table is an excellent piece of furniture. It seems very well made and will hopefully last us several years. I did have some trouble with the product being back-ordered, so make sure to order several months before your little one arrives.

Nice piece for a baby's room only
December 22, 2010
I really love this changing table but not happy that you can not convert it into a dresser for a toddler. We have the espresso color and it looks great although it does scratch but only where we have the baskets.

Best Changing System
November 29, 2010
This changing system is a great piece of furniture. We have it in Espresso finish. It has so much storage. It looks great with the Sabrina baskets. We have had this Changing System for 2 1/2 years and it still looks great. It holds up well to a rough little boy. The changing system can definitely grow with your child. When you don't need it as a changing system you could always use it as an Entertainment Unit because it has cord holes on the backside.

some flaws
July 23, 2010
We bought this system for our oldest. I am now expecting our 2nd and want to move the changing table only to the soon to be nursery. There is no dresser or desk from PBK that fits between the rest of the system and the changer is not just a topper so there is a seat belt strap screwed into the wood of this changer so we are now going to have to buy a 2nd dresser and put a changing table topper on top of the new dresser. I've asked that they think about making a dresser with the same dimensions as the Madison changing table or just making the changing table so the changing portion can be removed without leaving holes in the wood. The system is very large and just won't fit comfortably in our 2nd bedroom so it would be nice if it converted to something other than a Media unit (what 2 year old needs a TV in their bedroom)

Espresso Color Scratches Easily
July 21, 2010
We purchased this for our second daughter. I am happy with the overall product but am very displeased with the color choice we made. The espresso color scratches VERY easily and has made the overall look of the product appear cheap. I would suggest the white furniture as my oldest daughter has it and we have had no problems. I am planning on contacting Pottery Barn for some touch up stain & hope it will be availble.

Not worth the money
July 6, 2010
We purchased the Madison changing table system and a crib from PBK and have been disappointed in the quality of both pieces. The finish scratches very easily. Very disappointing. We won't have these pieces for years to come as I had hoped. Not worth the money.

Can't say enough good things
April 9, 2010
This is the only peice of furniture we got to go with our daughters crib other than a side table and it has more than enough room to accomodate. The antique white is a great color. We have only had it for a week but so far we love it.

A great piece of furniture
April 6, 2010
I completely love this item! It has plenty of storage. It is functional, but very fashionable. The color was exactly how it was described. The quality is great. Their delivery time was accurate, it took about 3 weeks. They came over, took it upstairs, assembled it and took the boxes away. My husband loved that!
