Super cute desk!
March 21, 2013
I love this desk. My 6 yr. old daughter's room is small so this desk works perfectly. It has plenty of space to draw, color and do homework as she gets older. I got the acrylic mat to go with it based on other reviews to protect the top and like another reviewer said there is a manufacturing stamp on it. I will use a desk organizer to cover it up.

Perfect Desk for Madeline Day-bed set
November 10, 2012
Only had the desk a few weeks, but love that it doesn't scream "CLUNKY DESK!" It takes up a minimal amount of space, and is pretty and pettite. Not a ton of storage space, since most writing desks are for writing, not working, but for my growing 4 year old, it will certainly work through the elementary/junior high years. It matches the day-bed beautifully and I am glad I got the antique white before it sold out! I looked at all the other desks in-store, but this was the cutest for the madeline collection!

Beautiful addition to my daughters room...
October 26, 2012
Desk is nicely constructed. I had to return the first desk we received, due to some paint defects, but as always, customer service was superb in handling my issues/exchange. The original desk had some major paint defects. The second desk isn't perfect, but much better. Nothing a little touch up paint can't fix. My daughter loves it and it looks beautiful.

Amazing quality!
October 7, 2012
I was a bit apprehensive about spending over $200 for a desk for my daughter, but this is the one she wanted. I tried to find a similar desk for a cheaper price, but couldn't. When the desk arrived, I was blown away by the quality of materials and construction! It was all wood with dovetailed drawers! I would recommend this desk for any girl.

Good quality, but small drawers
April 24, 2012
This is a great desk with lots of surface area. My husband had a slight challenge putting it together, but once it was together it looks very nice. Our 7-year-old daughter loves the desk! My only complaint is that the drawers are super small and not very deep. It's hard to put much of anything in the two side drawers.

Very disappointed
November 26, 2011
I purchase this table at the store. I like it a lot and was excited to get home and put all together.. But!!! when I open my table one of the table legs was scratch, the hole for a knob in the one of the drawers was missing, and middle drawer wasn't fitting at all:(((

Peeled paint, scratches, and dents!
November 8, 2011
I bought this desk for my five year old daughter last Christmas (2010). I thought this desk would last at least a few years knowing it is from Pottery Barn. Within weeks, the paint was peeling, scratch marks, and dents. This desk can not endure even the smallest pencil mark etc. At the same time, I bought my seven year old the more expensive desk from PB but same issues. First time I've been disappointed with PB purchase. I would not recommend any of their desks.

beautifully made
September 13, 2011
We chose this desk so we could have plenty of leg room beneath. Also, it looks less bulky if it goes in a smaller room. My husband is going to put a cover on the desktop to protect it & then it will be perfect. totally perfect for us. the drawers are only big enough to put pens, pencils, a few papers, etc so be aware of that. you really can't store much in it. It is absolutely gorgeous with the small hutch with flowers. Goes great with the bed.

stylish and practical
August 26, 2011
We just gave my 5 year old's room a big girl makeover. We needed a desk to complete the look. It's sturdy and looks good in her room. She loves to sit at her desk to work on her letters and crafts. I was even able to put it together by myself. Win-win.

GREAT DESK FOR THE PRICE!
November 5, 2010
We just bought, about 3 weeks ago. So far so good, it's a nice size and it matches my daughters furniture. My daughter Brit loves it. We recently redid her room and bought the Julianne quilt and shams-not the teapot bedding since she feels she is too old, but everything looks great. Worth the price!!

Nice desk
October 14, 2010
My daughter (6) selected this desk because she would have 'more knee room' than desks with storage drawers. I liked the great price and thought it was pretty and femine.
It was very easy to assemble with only two minor complaints: 1) The directions don't indicate there's a difference between the legs; so when I was ready to mount the hutch and realized my pilot holes were in the FRONT, I had to take the desk apart and switch the legs around. 2) the pilot holes in the hutch did not align with the pilot holes in the desk, but I was able to screw the brackets in anyway, so no biggy.
All in all, very pleased. Not heirloom quality, but it will serve our needs well.

Darling desk
October 11, 2010
This desk looks darling in my daughter's room. It goes perfectly with her Madeline bed. It is sturdy and well made. The only problem is the wear and tear it shows on the desk top. Dirt, pencil marks etc. show up very easily and is hard to get off. I just purchased the protective mat and I hope that will prevent further wear and tear on the top. However, the protective top does not measure the same as the desk top....so I'm not sure how it is going to look. Pottery Barn should sell protective mats that actually FIT their desks.

Love this desk!
October 8, 2010
My 5 year old daughter got this desk as a gift for starting kindergarten. She loves it! The quality is amazing and it took my less than 10 minutes to put it together. She also got the hutch which is so cute and leaves plenty of writing room on the desk. We are looking forward to her having this desk through high school.

Classic desk that is very functional
August 28, 2010
I bought this desk for my daughter to grow into and then be able to use for years to come. It's only been a few months but we are very happy with it so far. Very easy to assemble (only 4 or 5 separate pieces) and a great size for doing homework.
I bought it when it wasn't on sale so I would have been that much happier had I timed the purchase.
Great desk.

Very Graceful Looking
August 9, 2010
I've had no trouble with this desk at all, and my daughter uses it every day. It doesn't have much storage space, but that keeps the clutter down! It also offers a decent amount of leg room in addition to looking so very graceful in her room. We have the acrylic surface mat on it to protect it - works great!

It's too bad...
April 3, 2010
I bought this desk for the size. It is a wonderful size with great drawers. Unfortunately, there must be a problem with the legs breaking. One leg was broken when I got it home. Another leg had a slight crack. Now less than two years later, we are shopping for a new desk. The back leg crack and split right down the side in to the middle. The other issue is the top of the desk. Because of it's coating you have to becareful what you put on it, how you clean it. It shows horribe wear and tear very quickly. Try one of their other desks if you are going to buy Pottery Barn. I am dissapointed because the desk got such little use, it should have lasted years!!
