Pretty, but drawers are not deep
March 11, 2013
We ordered this dresser to match the Madeline bed. The drawers do not hold much. They are not deep at all. For this price, they should hold a lot more clothes.

Beautiful but not built well
September 14, 2011
This is a beautiful dresser and big enough to accomadate my littel girl for years, however the drawers are poorly made for such an expensive piece. When first opening the drawers to put clothes away, 2 out of the 5 "stuck" and now rub against the wood on the bottom causing a horrible scratching noise and making it difficult to open and close. It seems the quality is poor but looks wonderful!

Nice dresser
July 15, 2011
I am a picky furniture buyer and I had my eye on this dresser for a long time. I hesitated to buy it because of other negative reviews, but I have to say that they proved unfounded. I have had it for two months with no complaints. It is lovely and the drawers slide out as expected. The depth of the drawers is normal. It looks lovely with the nightstand in my daughter's room. The distressing seems to be in spots directly above the knobs, but that doesn't bother me. I am happy with the purchase.

Good Quality
February 11, 2011
This is a solidly build piece of furniture. My only complaint would be that the drawers could be a little deeper, but other than, that I am satisfied.

Well made
January 14, 2011
After searching all over for a new dresser that would last my daughter for many years we decided on this one. It is very well made. The drawers slide in and out with ease and there is a lot of drawer room.

Beautiful dresser, shallow drawers
January 2, 2011
We purchased the Madeline bedroom set for my daughter amost 4 years ago, and it has held up considerably well. It is elegant and we are so happy we have it for her. However, this dresser is my least favorite piece (we also have the bed, trundle, and nightstand) because the drawers are shallow and don't open very far, which is especially a pain for the top drawers, because the top of the dresser curves and hangs over the drawers a few inches. For the price, I just expected better quality. The drawers do open smoothly though, and they have help up quite well. LOVE the bed, by the way. She is almost 9 now and still gets tons of compliments on it.

looks nice, low quality
September 5, 2010
the lower drawers are very difficult to open and close for an adult... virtually impossible for a child. Even had a furniture repair person try to correct without any luck

lovely dresser
August 9, 2010
This dresser looks lovely with the madeline bed/ canopy. It does have shallow drawers... so you will need a decent amount of closet space to hang clothes. However, it's not enough of an issue to get in the way of being happy with it. (did have a horrible time changing the knobs for the dotty ones though!)

Disappointed
April 1, 2010
I was very disappointed in this dresser/set I bought for my daughter. The drawers are very shallow and difficult to pull out. It does not hold a lot of clothes despite the number of drawers. The finish also scratches easily. For the price, I expected higher quality. I will not buy Potter Barn furniture for kids ever again.

Quality Craftsmanship
March 11, 2010
The dresser is lovely. I didn't find the drawers to be too shallow at all and I like the fact that they don't fall out upon opening. They have a stop feature where they won't come all the way out. It is quite sizable but fits perfectly in my daughter's rather small room. I am quite happy with every purchase I've made at pbk.

Perfect Size
February 19, 2010
My daughter's bedroom is rather small and this dresser is just a perfect fit. All her clothes fit in all the drawers with room to spare!

madeline dresser
January 12, 2010
Would recommend this if you have good size closet space available. I just received this dresser yesterday. I was disappointed in the depth of the drawer. The side of the dresser measures 18inches, but the actual drawer only measures 13inches in depth.

Neat Dresser
November 22, 2009
As with the other pieces of furniture in the Madeline collection, this piece is lovely to look at. The depth is not great and the drawers are difficult to pull open and do not come all the way out- for safety I'm sure. Just don't overstuff or you will lose items that you won't be able to retrieve.
