Mackenzie Chocolate Owl Lunch Bags

A healthy homemade meal is a great way to keep kids focused throughout the school day. Our reusable lunch bags are designed to hold a complete meal along with a thermos for soup or a beverage - plus, they're easier to carry than plastic or metal lunch boxes and feature a sweet owl print. Shell is woven of tough 600-denier polyester with a moisture-resistant coating inside. Interior lining is made of PEVA, an environmentally friendly, food-safe vinyl that's made without chlorine or plasticizers. The Classic lunch bag features a molded interior so it's easy to clean. Designed to fit our Hot/Cold Food Storage Container and our Spencer Food Storage (both sold separately). Straps on the back of each lunch bag allow it to piggyback on our Mackenzie Small, Large and Rolling Backpacks (sold separately). Personalization is available for an additional $7.00.

For grandkids
June 3, 2013
I am absolutely thrilled with all 6 of the lunch bags that I purchased for my grandkids. I am sure they will be used for more than just lunches. And they match the duffle bags that I purchased as Christmas gifts.

So cute!
May 14, 2013
I love these little lunch boxes. Right now, I am only using them for my baby's bottles to take to daycare, but I know they will come in handy when we start to add solid foods to the daily menu!
It is just so cute and I get compliments all the time going to and from daycare.

Beautiful backpacks make great gifts!
April 19, 2013
The backpacks are beautiful! I purchased 2 for my little cousins. They are ages 6 and 8. I had their names embroidered and it looks beautiful. I suggest the darker pink thread color. I chose the darker blue thread however, this color blends with the owl pattern just a bit. Other than this, I think it is a nice, unique gift. I am going to travel to Spain and plan to give these gifts to my cousins because I do not think there are PBK stores there. Thus, their backpacks will standout among their classmates! I look forward to seeing the expressions on their faces when I give them their gifts!

Not Washable!
March 16, 2013
I fell in love with this lunchbox! We bought the backpack, bento box, water bottle etc so my daughter would be all set for kindergarten. One day something leaked out of the bento box and left quite an odor in the lunchbox. I tried handwashing and could not get rid of the smell. As a last resort tried the washing machine and that destroyed the outside fabric. I would not buy this again. We were very disappointed, kids need to have washable items.

Favorite Lunchbag
January 29, 2013
I have bought various lunchbags, but none have been as nice as the Pottery Barn lunchbags. These bags have plenty of room and are well made. It looks like it should last a long time. I highly recommend this lunchbag.

Great lunch bag for anyone, any age!
January 2, 2013
After buying 2 other lunch bags only to find out they cannot easily fit all my 7 month old's bottles and food, I finally found satisfaction with the retro bag. It's roomy enough to fit 5 bottles upright, 2 small food containers, and an ice pack with a little room for a couple more things. It's well-made and because of the size she will be able to use it until it breaks apart since it's roomy enough for an adult sized lunch, too. I was thinking of ordering one for my 30 year old friend that loves owls and always packs her lunch to work in plastic bags. :)

We purchased the lunchbox about four months ago and have been truly enjoying it. It is so easy to clean, just the right size and very durable. We can easily fit my daughter's midday snack and her lunch sandwich inside. She loves the cute owls and so do I!

I bought the retro
October 1, 2012
I love the material and quality of all Pottery Barn products. I made the mistake of not really looking at the retro lunch bag before I got it though. It is too small for a lot of the containers I have for sandwiches and sides. The top that holds the drink is only held by 2 straps. A small thermos falls down onto the food below. I wish it was a solid piece of material that you could zip open or mesh that held whatever I wanted to put in the top.

Retro shape awkward. Square shaoe better.
September 4, 2012
The retro shape lunchbag are very durable and a cute shape but awkward in shape. The top has some elastic straps to hold a drink in and keep from smashing food but they are kinda too big for the klean kanteens (unless they've changed them, we bought ours a few years back). The plastic containers don't lay flat and have to be put in on their sides. And it doesn't hold very much. The squarish one is better that way but if you are using individual containers you can't fit more than like two depending on size. I had to use a lot of ziplocs due to this. We got planetboxes instead this year and they work perfectly.

Nice but note...
August 6, 2012
I got the lunch bag and matching backpack. If you are going to hang the lunch bag on the backpack, do not embroider the backpack - the name can't be seen, the lunch pack covers it up. Just embroider the lunch bag. But it is nice and very sturdy and cleans up well. My daughter picked a lighter design and it comes home sometimes alittle dirty, but a soapy cloth cleans it up. Do not get the water bottles, they are not the quality of the backpack and lunch bag. The color peeled off in 7 days. Super disappointed in them.

2 Years Strong!
July 20, 2012
This is an item that visually appears to be as sound as the original Classic Lunch Bag we ordered 2 years ago/2010-2011 school year. The sturdy main compartment does not collapse, as easily as the Retro version. Our daughter is a tough as a boy, and no problems have come out of her throwing the bag into the class lunch bag bin. We only wished the Retro had an equally sturdy main compartment, as it has more storage room than the Classic. Space matters.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this Classic version.
