Birthday Surprise
May 7, 2013
I purchased the Mackenzie Pink Dot mini-backpack as a birthday gift for my 2 yr old granddaughter. She really loved it and wore it around for the rest of the day & night. She is a big Dora the Explorer fan, so she enjoys wearing the backpack where ever she goes. It is just adorable on her.

Love it!!

I got it for a carry-on bag for my 4 year old. It was perfect for her. I could put a few books, crayons, and a few snacks. It was too big for her to carry around.

Perfect Fit
February 23, 2013
My 2 year old granddaughter loves this backpack. It is exactly the size needed for her height. She likes to prance around her home wearing it like her big brother does his on his way to school.

Great backpack to start kindergarten
February 9, 2013
I ordered the personalized backpack for my grand-daughter to start kindergarten with next year and I ordered the small so that it will last a couple of years. The backpack is everything described and is adorable with a heavyweight fabric construction and is reinforced with the green straps. I LOVE the monogram and it will prevent mix-ups at the end of the day. Couldn't be more pleased.

Disappointment
February 3, 2013
I have been a huge Pottery Barn Kids fan since I was pregnant with my daughter, and unfortunately, their products have been hit and miss - and this was one is a miss! I bought this for my daughter who is in Pre-K and needs to carry a one inch binder to and from school. First, don't bother with the pre-school size, you cannot fit anything but small toys (not even a Barbie doll) in it. I had to buy a second backpack and now (after 4 months of use) I have found 2 holes in the bottom of the bag!!! She does not drag the bag on the floor and only carries a small binder in the bag! While the product is beautiful - and I love the matching lunch box, etc. I cannot justify spending so much on another backpack that isn't going to last even the full school year!

Love these Backpacks!
January 23, 2013
My twin girls got the large size for Preschool...don't bother with the "preschool" size. Even preschool stuff doesn't fit in them.We are now in Kindergarten and they still look brand new. They wipe off great if dirty, and are just really durable. I would definitely get them personalized though, I have noticed PB backpacks and lunchboxes getting more & more popular at school...better to pay the extra $, it's worth it. Plus then you don't have to write all over the pretty thing. *My son has had his brown camo one for 4 years now...still perfect if you can believe that?! No other brand can last like that, or look as cute. Other great thing about the backpacks is they match the luggage that you can buy;it's so cute to have the luggage and backpack in the airport. As another reviewer said, you can spot them well due to it all matching.

My 2 1/2 year old asked Santa for a backpack. She was delighted when this was under the tree :). The small size is perfect for now and to grow into. Love the print and great quality!

Did not last a school year
December 3, 2012
Unfortunately, it did not last the whole school year.
It is pretty, yes and my daughter loved it. But I paid full price for it and the whole handle bar come off, completely, after 6 months of use!

Best Luggage for a Young Child!
November 23, 2012
We bought two of the larger rolling suitcases a couple years ago and absolutely love them. They are holding up well. We use them for travel, especially when we fly. It's great because my young daughters, now ages 4 and 6, can roll them through the airport and on to the plane. If they get tired, we just convert them to a backpack and throw them on our back. It's such a cute pattern and glad to see that it is still available. The wheels are high quality. We get so many compliments. And it's easy to spot my girls with matching bags in a crowded airport. We monogrammed them, and they love that and can tell each others apart. I have to hide them for travel to keep them special or they would want to use them every day. This year we ordered two new blue camo ones for our boys, age 18 months and 3 years, because they loved their sisters so much! Good buy!

Classic Look
September 6, 2012
My daughter and I absolutely love the Mackenzie Pink Dot Collection (with the green trimming). The pattern in particular really gives off the classic Pottery Barn Kids look. So far I have purchased the large rolling back pack for travel and the preschool backpack for my daughter who is two. From another reviewer, I got the idea to use the preschool backpack as a more sophisticated diaper bag for my toddler. I am impressed by the quality as well. I just hope they bring back the Mackenzie Pink Dot Duffle! :)

This time change was not good
September 5, 2012
This is my third time ordering the Mackenzie Rolling backpack. Last year's version was my favorite. I am so disappointed with the changes this year. My daughter immediately noticed it was smaller and the inside storage was gone--this was such a disappointment. My daughter has decided to use her old backpack since it is larger and has more inside organizers for her school supplies. Hopefully next year's version will be more like last year's in terms of size and interior storage space.

ripped within the first year
August 7, 2012
I was disappointed in this one. I bought it for my second grader last summer, and it was ripped along the zipper by Christmas. She treated it well, but it did not even make it 6 months.

OUTSTANDING!!
August 2, 2012
We bought the pink dot Mackenzie backpack and matching lunchbox last year (kindergarten) for our daughter. What a great purchase! I was hesitant on the price at first, but the way the backpack held up and the way it cleans up is top-notch and well worth the money to not have to buy a new backpack every schoolyear. My daughter can open and close the clasps by herself. It has great storage opportunties and withstands a "beating" that my soon to be 6 year old gives it. I am hoping it lasts quite a while! We are getting ready to start year 2 with it! I have a good feeling about it!!

Pre-K backpack is perfect!
August 1, 2012
I just purchased a second Mackenzie Pre-K backpack. This time we will give it as a gift to a 1-year old! I love this bag! I keep a change of clothes, a Ziploc of small toys/crayons for restaurant entertainment, and a travel sized container of wipes inside and I still have lots of room! I have even put mine in the washing maching on delicate and it washed perfectly! A perfect bag for when you are ready to be done with your bulky diaper bag!

Love PBK backpacks!
July 31, 2012
My 4YO daughter has the small backpack and matching lunch box in pink dot. She has used them for more than a year and they still look good as new! Whenever they start to show dirt (usually on the bottom), I just handwash them in the sink with mild soap and a sponge and air dry them. They wash beautifully. The backpack is sturdy and has lots of useful compartments. You will not find more stylish kids' gear anywhere else!

Did not last long
July 17, 2012
I have bought many PB products in the past including several lunch boxes which held up great. I bought 2 rolling back packs for my girls last year and after the first month they started to fall apart. One of the extension handles got stuck and we had trouble getting it to go down every time. The bottoms are not reinforced with anything and it hangs down too far so as they rolled them the bottoms dragged on the ground and tore to pieces after just a month or so of use. The shoulder straps hung too long so those got all torn up as well. Overall, the size was good. It had plenty of room and pockets for everything. I was just really disappointed that it didn't hold up well at all.

No Product Warranty
July 17, 2012
Buyer beware! I purchased this item last fall for my daughter's first pre-school backpack. Although the design is incredibly attractive/cute, it did not withstand everyday use. Imagine my dismay when the shoulder strap began to unravel. Most parents would agree that preschoolers carry very little in their bags ie. stuffed animals and art work and the basic expectation is the backpack should be durable.
