Just as described!
December 29, 2012
This backpack is of such great quality, I ordered the small size for my daughter who is in first grade and it has worked out perfectly so far this year(4mths into the school year)! It gets thrown around from time to time and it still looks as good as it did the day it arrived in the mail. I don't understand why people give low ratings due to size when the dimensions for each size are clearly stated under the dimensions tab under the product description?? That's not PB's fault, that's yours. GeeWhiz. lol

Not Practical
December 14, 2012
We purchased the preschool backpack for our petite 3 year old to use for, well, preschool. Sadly, the size of this bag renders it essentially useless. Preschoolers do a lot of projects and drawing, and you literally cannot fit a standard sized sheet of paper in this bag without folding it in half. Pretty much every day our daughter's teacher has to send her paperwork along in a separate paper bag or fold it up and shove it in her bag. Even using it for travel is tough, as there is room for only a couple very small books. Skip this backpack and go for the small instead - at least it will provide some functionality.

Airport Backpack
October 22, 2012
I purchased this backpack specifically because of the buckle on the chest. If I needed to grab her quickly in the airport on our trip, I knew it wouldn't just slide off of her. The backpack is great, long lasting material. My daughter is almost 4 and this is slightly too big. Which is ok with me because at this price, I'd like it to last her a long time so at least she'll grow into it! Definitely recommend!

Love it!
September 4, 2012
I bought the small backpack for my daughter`s first year of school (she is 4), and it is wonderful! The size her perfect to hold her lunchbox (also from the same collection), her communication book that she takes back and forth with her everyday, a sweater, and a pencil case. If she needed a couple more items for some reason, then she could just hook on her lunchbox onto the bag itself. The length and everything is perfect for her. I see all the other kids her size walking around with these huge bags, thank goodness for PBK and their sizing options!

Preschool backpack?
August 26, 2012
I too ordered the "preschool" size based on past experience, albeit not with PBK, of purchasing a "preschool" sized backpack. You could not fit a change of clothes, light jacket and lunch box in this backpack. In fact, like the other reviewer said, it was nothing more than a purse size. The next size up seems a bit generous for preschoolers, i.e. 3-4 y.o. but I ended up with that one for my daughter. Disappointed in this backpack as the functionality is impractical. PBK - rethink your sizing.

Pre-school Backpack too small!
August 22, 2012
In the past I had purchased a pre-school backpack for my daughter and I loved the backpack that she still has. When it came time for my younger daughter to get a backpack I did not hesitate to order her one as well. My mistake was in not checking the dimentions. The backpack is more like a little purse and she will be unable to place anything other than really small items in it. The backpack is the same size as the lunchbox that we ordered for her!
