We gave this as a gift to a one year old. He and his parents loved it. It's the nicest backpack I was able to find anywhere. It's great.

Nice but all small
May 13, 2013
Nice material and workmanship. I wanted a smaller backpack for my son to bring things (i.e. iPad) while we go out to eat. I compared the measurement against the smaller backback we owned and it was identical in measurement. When we received the backpack, it is way smaller and can't fit much (can't fit iPad either).

Mackenzie Blue Camo Backpack
May 13, 2013
The back pack is really great. It has plenty of pocket areas and zipper areas. It has a place for a water bottle and my little one can carry it easily. We are going to get a lot of use out of this backpack.

I bought one of them for my son and, previously, one for my daughter with polka dots, both were very nice products! Thanks!

Great backpack
March 11, 2013
I bought the size small blue camo backpack in August for my child entering kindergarten. Seven months later, I have no complaints. It's a great size. Art projects, folders, binders, the lunchbox... they all fit inside without problem. The backpack has been stepped on, taken on field trips, used as a surfboard across the gym floor, and generally tossed about and it still looks great! There's not a stitch out of place. Great, durable backpack. Great size for kindergarten and first grade for sure. My son loves it and thinks the pattern is cool. Would certainly purchase this product again.

super cute camo

Purchased the backpack and lunch tote for my 3 year son as he started Pre-K. He loved carrying his 'big guy' backpack and lunch to school.
He is pretty rough on his backpack and it has held up well!

2 Years of Daily Use and Looks Great
February 28, 2013
We bought the small bag 2 years ago when our son started preschool. 2 years of daily use later and it is still GREAT. All zippers work, no tears or loose seams, nothing is wrong at all and spots clean out just great. He's in kindergarten now and we don't expect him to be "careful" with something like a backpack - so to say it's holding up well is an understatement. We skipped the preschool size and the small size was just fine for him at 3 years old - also fits all his stuff now in kindergarten. We do not need to retire this but thinking we will for 1st grade since they get more homework. We'll keep it for weekend outings though - and definitely replace his school backpack with another PBK one!

Super Durable and Extra cute Lunchbox!
February 1, 2013
My son started kindergarten this year and had blown through two lunchboxes before I stumbled upon this one. I love it!!! It is very well made and extremely durable. Definitely able to keep up with my very active little kindergartener! Plus you can pair it with the Pottery Barn Bento Box and make it even better. Did I mention you can embroider there name on it too? I've had so many compliments on this lunch box and I know it's going to last him at least a couple more years. Thank you Pottery Barn for an amazing product. Sincerely, One happy mom!!

Great toddler bag!
January 30, 2013
I bought this bag to use for my 2yo. We put a couple of diapers, wipes, sometimes change of clothes, snacks, small toys and a sippy cup on the side. I would NOT recommend this bag for school. I know it's called the pre-k bag but its way too small for school of any kind. It's a great transition bag once you don't need a big diaper bag. I love it for carrying stuff to older siblings activities. We are always all over the place and need a quick grab and go bag with everything my son needs.

My 5 year old loves his new backpack. He loves the color and his name on it. It is a good size for him to grow into, but not too big or heavy.

Wears well, but clips on front don't last
January 22, 2013
This is a great product. The first one we ordered back in 2010 lasted for two full school years. Ordered the same product last summer and it's wearing well also. The only issue the second time around is with the clips on the front. We use those to hold the lunchbox if the backpack is too full in the morning. The clips fell off in the first two weeks of use, and while I have reattached them numerous times they never stay on for more than a day or two.

Awesome smaller backpack!
January 7, 2013
We love this backpack so much that we bought it again 3 years later when our other one vanished. The only thing about the new one is that it doesn't have a strap divider inside like our other one did. But, this is sturdy and perfect size for my son with special needs.

Run small
January 2, 2013
I initially ordered the preschool size backpack for my 1 1/2 year old just to take things to and from school, but it was sooo tiny it didn't hold even a blanket. I returned it and got the small size and love it! The dimensions that are listed on the website seem to run about an inch smaller than actual.

Cutest Well Made Backpack!
January 2, 2013
This backpack is adorable and extremely well made. I got the smallest size and it is quite small but perfect for my one year old and toting snacks and such to restaurants and short outings. I got his name stitched on in grey and it is the perfect "custom touch". Will definitely buy the larger sizes as he grows.

Love these backpacks!
January 1, 2013
This is the second backpack I've purchased from PBK. The first was the Batman which we loved! My son has used this everyday and has very slight wear. He is a small 6 year old and this size is perfect for him. Not to big and holds all his school items! Will use these in the future!
