Lionel Pennsylvania Flyer G Gauge Train

Train looks good but is battery operated and the connectors for the cars are poor. The engine is constantly coming disconnected from the coal car. The batteries drain quickly. Would prefered to have an electric train.

The quality of the train set is excellent. However, if you are ordering for a Christmas present, you might want to have it sent somewhere other than your home. My package was delivered while I was at work and my husband arrived home before me with our kids. On the outside of the box, there where several large stickers stating that the box contained a Lionel train set. So much for a surprise Christmas present!!!!

I'm writing this review AFTER Xmas to say that it was the most fun addition to having our three grandchildren at our house this year for Xmas. Someone wrote (another review) that the train didn't run. If you get the right batteries, it runs and runs and runs--not a problem at all. And the remote is fabulous! Make sure you visit a battery store and get the alkaline batteries designed for trains. You will not regret it!
