NOT EVEN WORTH $150-IF I COULD GIVE ZERO, I WOULD
March 20, 2013
DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO **NOT** BUY THIS ITEM. WE BOUGHT THIS GLIDER AT FULL RETAIL PRICE, AND IT LASTED BARELY A FEW MONTHS. SPENT A FORTUNE FOR A PIECE OF GARBAGE. IT LITERALLY FELL APART WHILE I WAS ROCKING MY DAUGHTER. THE BEARINGS ARE APPARENTLY A WELL KNOWN ISSUE, AND IT CANNOT BE CORRECTED, FAILS AGAIN AND AGAIN.

Looks great, works horribly
September 26, 2012
The chair it self looks well made but does not function as a glider if you have your feet on the ottoman it does not glide you have to have your feet on the ground to glide the chair so what is the point of having the ottoman unless you just want to sit there, but I thought that was the whole point of having a "glider" the chair also squeaks and makes a clunking noise. Then there are the cushions that look like they would be so comfortable but after a week the butt cushion is flat and does not fluff back up. I have had this "glider" for about six months and exchanged it for a new chair and new cushions and the same thing! This is my first time ever writing a review, so you can tell how frustrated I am with it. I was so excited to finally get this chair after 6 months of having my child I finally came up with enough money and for what? To be disappointed?

Beautiful but squeaks
July 11, 2011
I've had this glider for over 1.5 years. It is beautiful but after the better part of a year it started having squeaking issues on and off which eventually turned into all the time. This past weekend the axle broke. It was a nightmare to take apart, but we figured out either the casing for the ball bearings were defective to begin with or are cheaply made and would never stand the test of time. This product is not worth the money for the issues that come with it. Do not waste your money.

Seems to work OK but NOT Espresso
March 13, 2011
We recently received our Larkin Glider. So far everything seems to work fine/rocks smoothly, etc. However, the color is definitely not the rich, dark espresso shown at the website. Instead, it is a much lighter, cherry-ish color, with uneven reddish-orange highlights. We were especially surprised b/c we own several other Pottery Barn espresso pieces, like the rustic bench & Bedford modular desk. This doesn't match them at all. Perhaps the factory that makes this in Vietnam is different than where the other PB pieces are made & that accounts for the difference. The gorgeous pillows fortunately cover much of the wood & w/a 2 month old we are just grateful to have it so probably won't exchange (which PB does offer). Anyway, works great & is solid but be willing to have to go through return process if you actually want espresso. Thanks.

Bumpy Ride
February 11, 2011
This very attractive glider & ottoman has been a disappointment. My glider has two very distinct "bumps" in the glide: one rocking forward, and one when you've rocked all the way back. To avoid feeling the bumps when I rock my daughter, I have to only rock the chair part way. The chair also creaks.
Pottery Barn Kids replaced the bumpy glider frame and the new frame arrived after being backordered for several weeks. It rocked properly but there was a problem with the finish/color. The bumpy glider and ottoman frames are a matching set (a solid & rich espresso color). The replacement glider frame does not match my ottoman frame. It has a lighter, uneven espresso finish, as if it still needs another coat of stain.
The customer service people have been VERY nice and have offered to replace the frame & ottoman together so they will match. With all the trouble and time spent, I have to say I do still regret this purchase.

Rocker Sits Idle
February 4, 2011
One of my best memories as a mom was rocking my babies to sleep. When my daughter had our first grandchild we were excited to help purchase a glider for the nursery. It is so disappointing that the rocker is sitting unused because of a squeaking noise when the chair is in motion. PB replaced the original chair when my grandson was 4 months old and now at 8 months the second chair has the same issues. We expected superior quality from Pottery Barn and years of use in the nursery. The design is attractive and comfortable, but of no use once the glider is in motion.

Beautiful Glider - Terrible Design Flaws
January 30, 2011
I will say...I still absolutly love the looks of this glider. Only problem, it has huge design flaws. I am on my second glider. PB replaced my first one due to rubbing and squeaking. The frame was also pulling apart. A couple months after the second one...it started rubbing again. I have taken it apart and greased it up and put it back together. It's not just the screws. It only squeaks when sitting in the rocker, but the worst thing is trying to calm my son and having to stand up because I want to take a hammer to the frame as it is making so much noise. PB needs to take it back to the design studio and tweak a couple of things. If it didn't squeak it would be perfect.
TOO much money to be so frustrated.

Squeaky and Clicks
August 2, 2010
After receiving the glider one day, the ottoman 2 weeks later, and finally the cushion to the ottoman 3 weeks later than the ottoman, we pieced everything together to find out the glider rubs and squeaks when in motion (both seated and unseated).
While the cushions are soft and extremely comfortable, the noise associated with the glider is not soothing. Rather than "gliding", the glider clicks and squeaks! Not what we expected after paying so much!

The Best!
March 29, 2010
I ordered this glider after I saw the high quality and beauty of the Larkin Nursery furniture I previously purchased. I have ALWAYS wanted a glider and regretfully didn't buy one with my two previous children. It is very sturdy and glides really smoothly. I have spent hours in this glider because my little daughter wakes up many times during the night. It puts her right back to sleep and it is so comfortable that I have trouble staying awake myself! It is so beautiful! I LOVE my nursery!
