Beautiful from afar.... QUALITY POOR!!

I purchased the entire Larkin set and have been nothing but disappointed. When you are paying as much as PB charges for this furniture you would expect good quality - NOT in this case. The finish looks as if it is a cheap paint, that has started flaking off, yes flaking off, not a beautiful stain like you would imagine. This wood has to be the cheapest around, it nics at the slightest touch, I would not recommend this product to anyone who plans to use in a childs room, it will be ruined before you know it. Major disappointment is this purchase!!

Softer than clay- dents, scratches and warping

It looked great in the room before the baby was born. Now that we use the changing table daily, the safety hook connected to the dresser has created dents that are un-repairable. After I noticed the 4 inches of dents growing I took a look at my whole Larkin set. It is all warping or being scratch by daily use. My son is only 4 months old and this was supposed to last him 10 years. I imagine this purchase will be thrown away much sooner due to the cheap wood that was use. As well, my Pottery Barn Credit was cut up because I can not imagine spending another $3k again when I should have just purchased from the Amish who for certain use solid wood.

Perfect size

I bought the Larkin Sleigh Crib and this dresser for my baby girl. They match perfectly and work great for her room. The drawers are spacious and open and close easily. I like that the changing table topper is easily removed. The delivery service was on time and very professional. Love this collection!

Solid construction but the finish is unacceptable

We purchased the larkin crib, nightstand, and dresser with the intent of using the solid dresser for may years to come. We are very gentle with our things and I was shocked to find that the finish on the dresser was damaged within 4 months of use. PB sent a competent furniture refinish company to my home to pick up the dresser and refinish. Again the dresser looked excellent when it was returned but with-in a short time the finish was again damaged. This was an expensive piece of furniture, and clearly for use in a kids room so i would expect PB to have mastered a quality and durable finish. We are now setting up a big girl room but will not purchase anymore PB furniture. Most likely we will paing the dresser white since the finish has already been redone once. We've owned the dresser 3.5years.

I would agree with the other reviewer - I've had this for over a year and it's totally scratched up and dented in the front. Very disappointing because it is a beautiful piece.

scratches easily

This is a beautiful piece, but it hasn't held up well after just 2 mths, I basically can't wear jewelry or a belt when changing my son or I'll leave scratches across the front. Very disappointed, considering how much it cost!! If I could, I'd return it!!!!

The best part of this changing table is that it can transition into a regular piece of furniture after my son-to-be gets older. It is a beautiful piece; however, for the price, I would have liked to see some proper drawer slides, but all in all, I am satisfied with my purchase.

Great Changing Table Topper!

We bought the changing table topper to set on top of a PB dresser we already owned. It matches great (espresso color) and it very solid/sturdy in construction. We bought a cute basket (from PB) to fit inside the cubby and a cute gingham lining for the basket and it's the best! We didn't secure it to the dresser because it's heavy enough that we aren't concerned. As our baby gets bigger, we may put some rubber "feet" on it, but I doubt we'll screw it to the dresser. It comes with some brackets for this purpose if you don't mind putting holes in your dresser. It's a lovely item.
