Love this crib!

It was difficult to agree on a crib with my husband, but when we saw this it was instant agreement. We love that it converts to a toddler bed (we bought the conversion kit separately) and then converts to a full size bed. Even though the price is a little higher than other cribs, we figured we'd spend at least that difference- if not more- on a full size bed later. Love how pretty this finish is and can't wait to have our baby sleep in it.

This crib looks beautiful in fact I ordered an entire nursery worth of furniture to go with this crib. About 1 day after the crib was delivered I noticed cracking on the main part of the headboard. Week by week I noticed it getting worse and now I have found the wood is splitting on the other side.
This is just unacceptable considering how much i spent on this crib. Not only is the crib expensive but so is ALL of the accessories that you need to buy in order to convert it into a toddler then full size bed. Not to mention the sales people do not tell you how expensive this crib gets once you buy all of these parts.
I called pbk about the wood splitting, they say they will replace the crib. I hope they follow through with this otherwise I will be a very unhappy customer. If you purchase this crib I recommend inspecting it very carefully to make sure there is no damage.

My husband and I have been eye-ing this crib for over a year now, and last month we finally decided to order it. We ordered the crib in the Simply White. We have received the crib and it is just as beautiful as it is in the picture and in stores, if not more so. The only reason I did not give this piece 5 stars is because of the delivery service, Excel Direct. They gave us a time frame of 3:30-5:30pm for delivery, and they did not arrive until 7:15pm, after multilple phone calls to the company and very little explanation. Overall I would definitely recommend this item to a friend, it's gorgeous and can't wait to find bedding for it and to welcome our first baby home to this beautiful crib.

Conversion Kit

I just received my Crib and it looks incredible! My only concern is why the instructions for converting this bed from day-bed to a full-size bed is nowhere to be found? I had purchased everything that was required to ensure my daughter would be able to use it down the road. However, there no clear instruction either on the website, nor at the Pottery Barn store as what extra piece is required and how one can convert this bed to a full size bed. I hope this issue gets resolved soon. Has anyone used this bed as a double bed?

My crib was just delivered today and it looks awesome - even better than it did in the store. I know it's a lot of money, and this crib never goes on sale, but I think it's worth it. No issues with the stickers that other people have mentioned - there are two stickers on each side, on the bottom, and they are barely noticeable unless you are looking for them. Seems like Pottery Barn heard the previous reviews and adjusted accordingly. Multiple heights is great and this piece will definitely grow with the little one.

I was nervous about the stickers others wrote about but pbk worked with the government to get the stickers better for the consumer and still follow guidelines. Each side had one small sticker that are on the outside near the bottom. They don't come off easily. The stickers are not an issue for me since I'm in love with the crib. We have it in simply white and it's gorgeous. Our sons crib is also a convertible crib so we wanted one for our baby girl. They will last forever!

Best Crib Ever

My son will be here any day now so he has not yet tried it out. But my search for the perfect crib was a long process. I finally came to the conclusion the PB Kids has the best well-made cribs. They use actual wood compared to most who use "process wood" which looks like plastic. I love this crib-- it's so sturdy and beautiful. You will not be disappointed, this is the best crib at PB kids and worth the money.

Beautiful crib, annoying stickers

We just had this crib delivered yesterday. It's absolutely stunning and you can tell it's high quality.
I will echo everyone's comments about the stickers - especially since I was skeptical. I thought, "Surely these stickers can't be that bad..." It took my dad and I about an hour to remove all of the stickers. We used Goo-gone and a plastic spatula. One sticker was so stubborn that I had to use my nails to sit there & pick it off. Also, since the delivery people had assembled the crib, there were some stickers that we couldn't reach - so we ended up having to turn the crib on it's side to get to the stickers on the bottom. All in all, I think there were a total of 12-14 stickers! You would really expect that Pottery Barn could afford some more appropriate adhesive so that the stickers would come off easily.
That said, once the stickers are off, the crib is totally worth it in my opinion. Hoping it lasts as long as the other Pottery Barn furniture I have in my house!

Nice Crib

I am very happy with the Larking crib in espresso. As usual from Pottery Barn, the quality is great and the piece is very impressive.
Like the previous posters have mentioned the stickers are a bit excessive, but I was able to remove them in about a half hour. I used the hair dryer first to warm the adhesive, and then pulled the sticker off very slowly while still holding the hair dryer on the sticker to keep it hot. All of the stickers came off in one piece! I then used a bit of olive oil where the adhesive remained, letting it sit for a few minutes. Finally, I used a warm damp cloth to rub off the excess oil and adhesive. The crib looks great and I didn't have to use any chemicals on the wood.
I will add that I was surprised when I realized that the Toddler Conversion kit is only for converting the crib to a toddler bed. We will need to screw the headboard and footboard onto a separate metal bed frame to convert it to a full size bed!

I received my crib over the weekend. I made a big fuss when I purchased the crib about the stickers others have complained about. There were no stickers on my bed at all so there is nothing to complain about! The finish is perfect, I don't worry about it chipping, scratching, or cracking (I have seen a lot of popular cribs with this problem). The bed is sturdy enough to handle a temper tantrum. The only complaint is that you have to buy the toddler bed accessory separately; it should come with a bed at this cost.

The crib is beautiful! The stickers were all over the place, but my husband was able to get them off without too much difficulty. He used goof-off. We were very worried about that and almost didn't buy the crib because of it. We are very satisfied so far. Haven't had the baby yet, though.

What a beautiful crib for our little girl's room. We bought this in the sun valley expresso and added the wooden block letters above the crib as displayed in our local PB Kids. It looks great. We softened it up with lots of pink bedding and accents in the room. Added matching dresser/changing table, chest of drawers and grand glider. Also added the Cameron storage system, drawer base, cubbies and topped with cabinet. The finish is not an exact match but is close enough and it all looks wonderful.

I ordered this crib and matching changing table. Both items were backordered and I was worried that I wouldn't get the items before my baby was born! I ordered plenty early so it really shouldn't have been a problem.
I was discounted the shipping (it's included in the price) and I did get both pieces before my baby was born but boy I sure could have used a little less stress at the time. I do really love both pieces, they are sturdy and look like they will last a lifetime. The stickers are brutal to remove, I don't understand why a less adhesive type of glue is not used, it seems like such a simple thing to change.
My advise is to order as early as possible if you want this crib or don't order at all.

Beautiful Crib

My husband and I got this crib and the matching dresser for our new baby boy last November. The delivery was very quick and easy! As soon as it was set up in the nursery I was delighted!! The crib is absolutely beautiful and very well made. It is strong and sturdy and worth every penny we paid for it!! My son is now 4 months old and loves sleeping in his crib! I recommend this line of furniture to anyone who appreciates quality and beauty!!!

Love it - Sturdy and Beautiful

Love this crib! It is very well built and very sturdy. I was extremely impressed with the quality of the crib; especially considering this crib was not on display at the PBK store we registered at. I was a little hesitant about what it would be like - and shouldn't have been worried at all!! It does not move if I try to jiggle or shake it and is very substantial. It's also a beautiful looking piece. I receive so many compliments on it.
The stickers on it are annoying, yes, but I will try other's suggestions to remove them. I certainly dont think the stickers make this a 'questionable purchase' as one reviewer indicated. This is honestly my favorite piece of furniture we have from PBK.

Great Crib...Too Many Stickers

This crib is great and was put together so quickly by the great delivery team. My only complaint is all the stickers on the sides of the crib. But with a lot of GooGone and some time they came off nicely. Can't wait to use this for many many years! Oh and I also like that its not extremely heavy.

Nice but Frustrating

The previous posts are accurate about the stickers and after paying over $800 for a crib, it is very disappointing to have to spend time removing stickers from the wood. It would have been nice if Pottery Barn included a tube of the goo gone gel if they knew the stickers were an issue.
The crib is well made but the stickers are an eye sore.
Bottom line, Pottery Barn's lack of providing a solution for a known problem along with cost of the crib makes this a questionable purchase at best.

Beautiful Crib!

This is my first review of any product... ever for that matter. Like others, I was hesitant about buying this crib because of previous posts about the stickers. First off, the Crib is beautiful, solid and sturdy. My husband is a cabinetmaker (too busy to make the crib unfortunately) and he gave it his stamp of approval. He is very critical I should add. I will note that you should be very careful and patient while removing the stickers. We used the goo gone with a credit card and unfortunately my husband wasn't so careful.. so there are a couple of scratches, only noticeable to me of course, which he will fill in so no big deal. All in all, I highly recommend, don't let the sticker thing discourage you, although it was very annoying. Just take your time, and let the goo gone sit for atleast 10 minutes before you start peeling.

After looking at several various cribs, this was the one that kept catching my eye. It is very beautiful. The finish looks great with no scratches (as of now at least). I wanted to write a review to follow up on the sticker issue. The only reason I was hesitant to buy this crib was because of the sticker reviews I had read prior to purchasing. I just finished removing those crazy stickers. It took me about 30 minutes to remove all eight stickers. They came off really easily. I used the ideas from previous posts. I first used a hair dryer to blow warm heat on the sticker as I pulled it off. Then, I used the goo-gone to remove the left over glue. It did not harm the wood finish and is as smooth as it would be prior to the stickers. I am very pleased with the crib, matching extra long dresser, and sleigh side table!!!

I ordered the Larkin collection and was somewhat hesitant after reading reviews regarding the warning stickers issue with the crib as I wasn't sure what to expect. PB just delivered the crib and other pieces and yes, those warning stickers on the crib were on there with a heavy adhesive. I spent a good hour trying to get the stickers and stubborn adhesive off.
I read a few of the more recent reviews on here and soon after took the advice of some that had used the goo gone gel. The goo gone gel was worth every penny as it removed the adhesive in no time.
I love the Larkin fixed gate crib; it's beautiful along with the rest of the pieces in the collection. The issue with the warning stickers does need to be addressed however.
