Shoulder Strap Pulled Away in 2 Months
November 7, 2012
My son made it through five years of preschool and elementary school with his first Fairfax backpack. Unfortunately, after we purchased a new one for this school year, it started to come apart at the top of the shoulder strap within two months of normal use. On a positive note, Pottery Barn is going to replace the backpack even though it was outside of the normal warranty period. I am a big fan of PB backpacks and was glad to see they were so helpful. Hopefully the new one will make it through.

Not well made
August 28, 2012
I ordered this backpack and we took it on vacation immediately. I notice the stitching was coming undone at the top straps. Very disappointed. I have always received good products but this one - not so much.

Love it!
July 16, 2012
My son is starting pre K at his new school and he picked out this back pack himself. It had to be red and we added the Triceretops patch and his name to personalize it. When it arrived, he was so excited and I was impressed with the look and quality. Great choice and well made! :)

Roomy bag
July 5, 2012
We have had several mackensie bags. This is our first fairfax. It is much roomier with bigger zipper sections and more secure bottle pockets. Our only disappointment is that the patch is simply iron-on, not sewn.

Love It!
June 16, 2012
I ordered the small one that is the same as this one and it lasted for 2 years. Nothing is wrong w/ it, just bc he got so tall that I need to get him a bigger one. This one is a little big for my son going into 2nd grade, but its ok will fit by 6 months. Highly recommend.

great unique baby gift
June 13, 2012
My daughter needed a tote for her new son when traveling to the lake on the weekends. This backpack will be perfect for now when he is small and will grow with him as he enters nursery school. It is large enough for baby supplies and clothing but not cumbersome since it can hook onto a parents' arm. Really cute with the alligator and monogram.

Falling Apart
April 19, 2012
Although I loved this backpack for my toddler because it carries all his essentials and I no longer had to carry a bulky diaper bag, the backpack is ripping/falling apart after only 15 months of use.
Where the top of the backpack meets the top zipper the material is seperating from the seam/stitching. There are two areas where the material is coming apart at the seam creating 2 holes.
I have 2 of these backpack and the other one is not having the same problem yet so maybe I just got a defective one?

Best bakcpacks; fit everything
March 13, 2012
My daughter has had 2 Fairfax backpacks over 6 years of school--they hold up great, finally just some wear on the bottom. Great quality, expanable, can fit a lunch box, huge binder, and jacket no problem. Now my son has one too and I will definitely be buying more PBKids/PBTeen backpacks in the future. They are the best I have seen.
