Think Before You Buy It
January 10, 2013
If I had it to do over I would not buy this bed!!! It is a nightmare to make the bed or to change sheets. It takes 2 people who are strong enough to lift the whole mattress out of the frame onto the floor where I then change the bedding then it is hoisted back into the bed frame. Trying to make the bed is equally exasperating. If it is against a wall, you have to climb in the bed and try to make it while crouched on the mattress. The bed is 5 mo. old and side rail is coming loose. These beds were very expensive compared to standard height beds and I for sure paid too much. My daughter is tiring of "climbing up" in it and will probably be replaced with a regular bed. A TV can't be seen unless it's way up high near the ceiling. Any space advantage or novelty is not worth the trouble of these beds. I hope this can save any readers making the same mistake.

Would have expected unused holes to be covered
August 16, 2012
I received two of the Kendall Loft Beds today and love the way they look overall. The kids are *thrilled* with them.
For $800 beds, though, I would have expected to have the "screw cover" inserts so the silver-colored hardware and the empty holes are not staring out at you.
On a positive note, the ladder can be affixed to the left side or the right side of the bed *and* you can choose from either end of the chosen side (which is why there are "empty holes" when done).
From what I can tell, if you ever need to move the bed to a different room and require s different configuration then you can move the ladder accordingly.
The beds are quite sturdy and look great (other than the visible hardware).
Customer service was great, too - I didn't notice a couple of flaws (a crack and something else) until later tonight and it was a breeze to reach customer service and schedule the replacement parts to be shipped out and assembled.
Overall very happy with the beds - they look incredible!
