Pine doesn't look natural

I was very excited to order this crib because we were looking for a very simple design and natural wood. The design is just what we wanted and it was really easy to assemble. The wood however really does not have a natural look, like we hoped. I'm sure it's because of all the requirements that the finish has to be a certain way, but it takes away from any natural beauty. Quite frankly, once we had it unpacked, it was just too much to pack it back up and return it. So we'll live with it.

This crib was SO easy to assemble!! In fact we also got a night stand and book case and all were very easy. The crib looks amazing and is high quality. We are very pleased with the crib and the high quality of all the PBK furniture.

Looks nice but had to hammer box spring to fit

We love the look of the crib but while assembling it we realized there was no way the mattress platform hinges would fit to each side of the crib base. My husband had to hammer one of the hinges out, bending it slightly to reach the base. It seems that the hinge is still secure and safe for use, but Im wary of recommending this product.

Great crib

We are expecting our first child in July 2013. We looked at several different places for cribs. I found this one online and purchased it without seeing it in person. It was shipped directly to our home in a few weeks (was on back-order originally). It only took my husband and I 45 minutes to put it together. The crib did smell a little of fresh paint, but that went away after a few days of airing out. The crib is very sturdy. I like that it comes with the guards along the front and back to protect areas that can get chips and scratches. I believe we will be able to use this crib for more children in the future.

My husband and I looked at practically every crib on the market. Our own bed is also pottery barn, so this led us to look at cribs. We are very happy with the look and stability of our own bed, so we were comfortable with one made for our baby. Although this crib was more than we wanted to pay, we are SO glad that we did. Set up was a breeze...took about 35 minutes from opening the box to completion. My husband and I were able to do it easily on our own. Crib is very sturdy and looks sharp! Love the classy style and teething guard (which wasn't included on any others we looked at). Warning labels are discreet. We ordered the espresso color, and the labels are on brown stickers making them less noticeable. Adjusting crib heights will also be very easy as our baby grows. Can't wait to see our little one resting peacefully.

What a great crib!

Ok, lets address the bad review of Pottery Barn Kids in the book "Baby Bargains". I must admit, this almost steered me away from buying my nursery furniture from PBK. But I am SOOOOOO glad I went with PBK. The crib is very sturdy and well made. The assembly was SOOOOOOOOO simple. 3 steps. My husband put is together by himself in 5 minutes. It looks really nice. We got Simply White. And it so perfect. LOVE LOVE LOVE. (We also got the Kendall dresser which is also great. Just a classic piece of furniture). If you buy this crib, you wont be disappointed.

Great value for the $

My son has slept in this crib for about a year and we are very pleased with it. It is classic and functional and looks great in his room. We didn't have any problem finding a good mattress that would fit. We did not attempt to remove the warning stickers based on previous reviews. We turned the crib around so that the stickers are on the side where we stand and they aren't a big deal that way since we can't see them. I appreciate the teething rail but my son has left some marks below the teething rail. The wood is fairly soft.

Beautifully made & easy to put together

The crib is very sturdy and looks beautiful in the nursery. It took my husband and me about 15-20 minutes to put together (if that) and has so far held up really well. I was a little intimidated about having to assemble the crib ourselves, but it turned out to be a lot easier to construct than I expected (much easier than anything I've ever bought from Ikea).

It is a great crib and it was easy to put together. We are really happy with it. I just with it was easier to determine online which conversion kit we need to purchase to match it.

I bought this crib in simply white. It is very sturdy, nice looking material. The white is a great white, doesn't have that plastic cheap look alot of cribs have.
Very easy to assemble, took my husband and I about 20 minutes.
Very happy with the crib. We bought it during a 20% sale. Great quality for the price!

Simple, classic & solid

I was very excited to receive the crib within a week of ordering it. The packaging was excellent and very high quality (although I wouldn't expect anything less from PBK!) All the pieces were in perfect condition, no scratches or any problems. My husband and I assembled the crib in 30 minutes. I was thankful for super simple assembly for such a solid, sturdy piece of furniture. I LOVE the simple, classic style, I can tell this piece will be a beautiful addition to our nurseries for years to come. Pleasantly surprised that the Sun Valley Espresso matched our Berkeley changing table we purchased 4 years ago. We bought this crib to replace our PBK sleigh crib because it became wobbly, I have higher hopes for the Kendall! Was slightly disappointed that the Kendall does not have "Pottery Barn Kids" engraved under the teething rail like our previous PBK crib, but definitely not a deal breaker. You cannot go wrong with the fantastic price and quality of this beautiful crib!

Very good looking and super easy for my husband to put together! Did not take long at all! Looks wonderful in our new house - just need baby #2 to get here to test it out! Does have a small knick/indent on the top but not worth the hassle of trying to put the whole thing back in the box for a replacement! Looks amazing in the nursery!

I purchased a Kendall crib 3 years ago for my grandkids at a vacation home. I am buying another for my daughter who is expecting. It is a very attractive, simple style and super sturdy. When on sale, absolutely the best buy you could find for such a nice, very well-made piece of furniture. Love the Pottery Barn quality! Would recommend a 2 person assembly team!

Beautiful crib, true to color of pure white, very sturdy. Happily, our crib came earlier than the time frame quoted upon purchase. There was emails sent when the item was shipped so we knew when to expect it. Extremely easy to put together and looks great in our nursery.

We recently bought this crib and love it. I think it is a beautiful, sturdy crib and can't wait for our baby to arrive. To comment on concerns in previous reviews, it seems as if Pottery Barn has listened to its customers and made changes to improve the product. Pottery Barn Kids is no longer written on the bite guards and there are no longer large stickers on the inside of the rails. Neither of these would have deterred me from purchasing this crib, but it did seem to bother other customers.

The Kendall Crib has been wonderful! It was a breeze to set up, fells very sturdy and our little one just loves it! I was a bit nervous about the warning label stickers being in a visible location, but they were located on the bottom of the crib. Overall it looks great in a baby boy's nursery. Highly recommended!
