Drawers sticking

This is the second Kendall dresser we have ordered. I am disappointed in this one because the dresser drawers stick and are difficult to open and close. I manage to get them open and closed, but not sure my 3 year old will be able to independently. A bit frustrated, especially since it was expensive.

Cute look, mediocre quality

This dresser looks great in my son's room. It's a perfect size, and the individual drawer sizes are perfect for my son's needs. My only complaint, and I realize it's an important one, is quality. Within a week of having this dresser in his room the top already had a number of large scratches on it. He doesn't play in his room so doesn't do anything with this dresser outside of getting his clothes out. The sides and front of dresser have some minor dings in the paint/stain already too. I was hoping a dresser for a child's room would hold up a little better than this one. I searched forever and decided on this one for its appearance but it doesn't look that great with scratches all over it. We've only had the dresser for 2 months at this point. My suggestion would be to keep looking.

perfect size

The dresser is the perfect size for a small room and has enough space to hold a lot of clothes. I was worried when I read the other reviews that it would scratch easily. But we got the weathered pine and there does not appear to be an issue with scratching at all. The drawers are sturdy and open and close nicely. The front legs have a level and this came in handy in our old house. My son loves his new dresser.

Wrong stain

We ordered this in the same finish as our cribs and when it arrived it was a completely different color. Waiting for a replacement.

Not Exactly "White"

The pieces of this set are great - just a warning that the color isn't a true white (if you are trying to match something). It is more of a cream, or vanilla.

Attractive Dresser

It is a very beautiful piece of furniture. We are using it in our nursery, which means it is doubling as a changing station. We look forward to keeping this piece as the child grows older.

Extremely disappointing

I purchased this entire set for my almost 3 year old and couldn't be more disappointed with the quality. The dresser is made of very soft wood and scratches VERY easily, as does the entire kendall collection. I had to have a glass top fabricated to preserve the top of the dresser. The glass top helped, but is not the most practical with a young child. I strongly encourage a buyer with children to stay away from this product.

Scratches too easily!

I got this bedroom set for my 2 1/2 yr old boy in the espresso finish and although it looks nice, the furniture scratches way too easily. There are already 10 scratches in the dresser and all 10 scratches are from my fingernails. It's freaking ridiculous how soft this wood is and how easily it scratches. I simply open up a drawer to put clothes away, and boom, a friggin scratch. And my fingernails aren't even long! For anyone who buys this, I would recommend using rubber gloves when putting away clothes!

Very practical!

We bought this dresser because the honey stain was being discontinued and we already have several pieces in this finish that we are very happy with. Since we anticipate needing more storage space soon, we went for it. The top three drawers on this dresser will be great for socks, underwear, and pajamas. The lower 4 drawers will be spacious for shirts and pants. The dove-tailed drawer fronts and the smooth tracks are very good quality. The top of the dresser will be great for accomodating all the treasures my children want to display! This is a super practical dresser!

Not what I was hoping for...

I purchased this online and never saw it in person before it arrived. Had I done so, I would not have made the purchase. The drawers are smaller than I expected, and don't fit small folded shirts vertically as I had hoped. The drawers seem like they won't last very long and I am unimpressed by the quality of them. The color is nice, but right away it got scratched easily by something and I don't think the finish will hold up nicely over the years.

Amazing Dresser

I have this dresser in the white and I absolutely love it. The doors slide great and perfect for my little one as she gets older. Holds alot and works wonderful as my changing table. Once she has outgrown diapers she will still be able to use this as just a dresser. Highly recommend.

Scratches and Dents Easily

I bought this dresser for my sons bedroom in the Sun Valley Honey finish. The furniture was much more RED in person which I was kind of bummed about, but I kept it anyway. The first day it arrived, I scratched it accidentally with my fingernail and it left a pretty noticeable mark. After only a few weeks of owning it, it had SO MANY scratches it looked like we have had it forever! If you breath on the dresser wrong it will leave a scratch. The wood is very soft and the stain comes off easily if your fingernail hits it the wrong way. VERY DISAPPOINTED considering how much is cost.

i have a 12 year old growing boy who needs more storage for all his sports shorts, socks and more "boy things". This compliments all the other pottery barn pieces he has in his room. Its perfect for his needs.

Love this dresser

We love this dresser so much. We've had it for years and it looks brand new. I love how much clothing we can fit into it. Sticky drawers are easy to fix with the free wax you can get from and PBK store. I think people need to realize things are painted and stained in different places at different times so there are slight variations in batches. Just go to the store and look at the wall letters, you'd be hard pressed to spell your child's name with the exact same color twice. It's an awesome dresser if you take good care of it. In fact, we're going to buy one for our baby on the way in a different color and we are thrilled to do so.

Great Bedroom Furniture!

We purchased this dresser along with the Kendall crib and Cameron 3-shelf bookcase in expresso over 2 years ago and have been very pleased with it thus far. I'm not sure why the reviews are so low for this piece of furniture, we have had no problems at all with the finish warping or peeling. We are so pleased with the quality of this collection that we purchased, this past June, the Kendall twin bed for my son for when he is ready to move to his big boy bed.

I was very hesitant to order this dresser due to the low rating; however, it was everything I was looking for so I took the chance. I'm glad I did because I LOVE it! The dresser looks wonderful in my daughter's room. One of the top drawers was difficult to open so I rubbed some wax on the wood glide and I haven't had trouble since. I subsequently ordered another dresser in a different color for my son's room. All the drawers open properly (which I checked before the delivery company left) and the quality is excellent!

Dont Waste Your Money

I purchased this Dresser 2 Summers ago for my Daughters Room.. She barely Sleeps in Her Room Yet this Dresser Looks Like I have owned it for Over 10 Years. The Knobs come off so easily, ANYTHING you place on top seems to stain the Wood instantly and does Not come off. This item should be Discontinued. I am now Unfortunately looking for a New Dresser because this piece ruins my Daughters Room!! I should have complained a Year ago!! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! A much cheaper store would provide better quality Furniture than this Piece!!

Poor quality for the price

I bought the dresser and the Kendall bed 18 months ago and the dresser is very poor quality. The veneer that wraps over the top has chipped in long strips, this happened the day after delivery. With a newborn in the house, I just did not want to go through the hassle of getting it replaced. Tthe drawers do not move smoothing and the drawers ding very easily. Very dissapointed.

Not the right color

I ordered the Kendall Crib & Extra-Wide Dresser & the Cameron Bookcase online, all in the shade of Sun-Valley Honey.
None of the pieces' finishes matched! The Cameron Bookcase isn't even available in Sun Valley Honey - but it is still showing that it is available in that finish online! The dresser is much redder in color than the crib!! The rep helping me has been very helpful but we will be returning the furniture.

Drawers do not work

I really like the looks of this dresser but the drawers are very difficult to work. The bottom row of drawers can barely be opened by an adult. The middle row works but not smoothly. The top row does work smoothly. I would not recommend. The quality is definitely not on par with the price. The paint is also starting to peel after very little use. I am frustrated to have a dresser that I cannot even use.
