Great Match
February 21, 2013
We were looking for a small dresser to fit in a room where we recently purchased a cinnamon brown bunk bed set from a members only discount store for our grandson. Pottery Barn came through. The Kendall dresser was a perfect match in rustic brown. Looks as if they were made for each other. No problem with it rocking or knobs falling off as in other reviews. We love our dresser.

Nice basic kids dresser
July 27, 2012
We purchased this dresser and nightstand for pur son's first big boy room. He loves opening and closing the drawers himself and the big knobs are perfect for him. It's a little on the short side as far as height goes but it IS a kids room piece. We haven't really noticed the easily scratching complaint that many have. The wood grain is naturally imperfect so scratches seem to blend in. Overall we are very satisfied with both pieces.

Disappointed
January 7, 2012
So disappointed in this dresser and bunk bed set. You barely bump it with a toy and it gets a huge dent/ding. The wood is far too soft and has not held up well at all. The knobs on the dresser constantly fall off and we are now missing thee. Not worth the money -will NEVER buypotterybarn furniature again.

Great Dresser, But Wrong Finish
September 29, 2011
We ordered the Kendall crib and dresser, both in espresso. The crib was perfect, the dresser was much lighter and red tinted. It's a nice color, but did not match the crib at all.
Customer service was really helpful at exchanging it for another one, but it was the same finish. So it looks like it's going back, and maybe we'll change the room to the white or find another line that has matching finishes.
Really disappointed, because the dresser is the perfect size, smooth and beautiful. It seems to be perfect quality, I just want a matching set.
I would give it full stars as a dresser, so if you're only getting the dresser or a different finish, go for it! Just don't try and get the espressos to match. Unfortunately for us, it didn't work out at all.

A good dresser for a nursery
August 31, 2011
This is a nice dresser, but it is very small. It is ok for a newborn nursery, but quickly becomes very small as the clothes get bigger. I did buy the changing table attachment for it and would recommend that highly. I would suggest seeing this dresser in person at the store prior to buying it. I have had it in the antique white finish for about 6 years and it has gone through 2 moves and 2 kids and is in good shape. It does scratch, but it still looks good 6 years later. If you are looking to have it transition to a big girl or boy room, I would look for a larger dresser.

Cheaply Made!
August 15, 2011
We've had this dresser in my son's room for a year and the knobs are constantly falling off. We've screwed them back in so many times that they are now stripped and my husband had to use wood glue to keep them on...not what I expected from a $700 piece of furniture that I bought thinking that it would transition from the baby room to my son's room. Do Not Buy this!

Don't buy this dresser. The drawers do not open fully, only a third of the way, so it's difficult to access the drawers fully. I wish I had never bought this dresser!

Looks great but doesn't wear well
October 13, 2010
We bought this dresser for our son when I was pregnant. It arrived and needed to be touched up around the legs and drawers because of uneven staining (we got it in espresso). The touch ups were done to our satisfaction. The drawers did not slide easily and we needed to get the gliders sanded which fixed the problem. My son is now two and there are several scratches on the surface and part of the stain has been removed after I wiped up a minor spill from the surface. Overall I still love the design of the dresser, it matches my son's Kendall bed and looks great, but I wish it was more durable.

Do not buy
July 27, 2010
You might love this collection, as we did but do not buy it. The wood dents so easily for childrens bedroom furniture it is a joke. It is made of very soft white wood that a fingernail press can dent and you spend all your time filling it with touch-up pens. This set is not cheap furniture but is sure made that way. We returned the whole lot for the Camp collection which is holding up better but only just

Not worth the money
June 3, 2010
This dresser may look pretty at first, but the finish scratches with the slightest pressure, even from a fingernail or the seams of a changing pad.
The drawers are smaller than expected and they don't open and close easily, either.
In short, I would not buy furniture from this line ever again.

**Love, Love, Love this dresser!!**
June 2, 2010
We purchased this dresser in honey for our son's bedroom! I was a little skeptical about getting it after reading some of the reviews so I decided to look at it in person at a PBK store! I immediately fell in love with it at the store. It is the perfect size for him and looks GREAT with the Camp bed and the Kendall Nightstand. We haven't had any problems with this dresser at all. It is designed very well and is very sturdy. The delivery team had it set up in no time! If you have any doubts about getting this dresser, you may want to visit it in person at the PBK store first. I'm so glad I did because I loved it even more in person!

Kendall Dresser poorly made
May 4, 2010
I bought this dresser a couple of years ago from the store. The wooden guide for one of the drawers broke within about a month of bringing it home. Scratches very easily. None of the drawers glide in and out easily. Visually it looks great, but the function is poor and not worth the high price.

Poor Quality Dresser
January 20, 2010
The wood frame beside the drawer actualy split from normal use. Just the everyday opening and closeing of the top left drawer caused a huge splinter of wood to chip off. The drawers don't fit exactly right and the whole dresser is poor constructed. It didn't even last a year! I would never purchase this product again.

kendall dresser
January 14, 2010
We just received the Kendall dresser which we ordered for our five year old son. We are quite disappointed in the quality of this dresser considering how much we paid and that it came from Pottery Barn Kids. The dresser looks nice, but it is surprisingly difficult to open and close the drawers. They are not on glides and to make them operable we will have to sand them down. I would not recommend this purchase.

love the color but not worth the money
January 10, 2010
We purchased the whole kendall set: bunk bed w/ queen, extra wide dresser, and nightstand. The delivery company scratched it several times trying to put the bunk bed together but PBK did come and replace sections. However, the furniture continues to get scratches and dents ALL over from light use. We have a playroom therefore my son mainly uses his room to sleep in and get dressed. I wish I could attach a picture to show how bad the top of the dresser is scratched!! It's just hard to find this espresso color in children's furniture but for the price I expected much better quality! Invest in a touch up pen!!!!

The Kendall is My Favorite Dresser
December 6, 2009
I purchased this dresser for my daughter before she was born in 2006. It has been through four moves, a six year old and a two year old and it still looks beautiful as ever. When I purchased it I never knew how wonderful the large drawer pulls are for little kids but they are great. I have since labeled all the drawers with their contents and my two year old can now put her clothes away in the specified drawers. I really enjoy that the drawers are seperated and go from small to large. It allows for better organization and I am not always hearing mom where is this. I even like the space under the dresser I use it to put extra shoes. Since purchasing this dresser in white I chose to purchase another one in chalkboard black and I use this one for extra bedding in my walk-in closet. It is so useful that I plan to purchase my older daughter one as well. The construction is wonderful as well. It has dovetail drawers and wax glides that make it easy for kids to use as well as adults.
