Harper Valance
A simple double-stripe border gives our Harper Valance a classic, tailored look. 44" wide x 18" long Pure cotton twill. Hangs from reverse belt-loops, creating soft inverted pleats. Can be used with our Metal Round Clips (sold separately). Machine wash. Catalog / Internet only. Imported.

Simple but Cute

I purchased these to compliment the Daisy Garden bedding. They are very simple/plain but work well to compliment the busier items in the room. I wouldn't have kept them if I hadn't had patterns elsewhere because the room would have ended up being boring. They are well made and allow for different rod options.

We ordered the valances along with the bedding and are so happy we did. They are a perfect match and make the room look incredibly clean and crisp.

I purchased the Harper Valance in pink to go with my toddler daughter's bedding from PB Teen. I was worried that the pink might be too light, but it is a nice brighter pink that perfectly matches her pink dottie sheets. The quality is great! However, I agree with many of the other reviews that PB needs to make these wider! We have standard size windows and the valance BARELY fits. I had to hang it flat across, which still looks cute, but would have rather been able to get the "soft inverted pleat look". Otherwise, I would have given it 5 stars!

I have these in brown in my older son's room and in navy in our baby's nursery. Love them. They're just the right width for our windows (we live in an older home, perhaps the windows are more narrow than some) and dress the rooms up just enough to look polished. We have black-out shades that pull down, so really just needed a touch of color--these valances fit the bill and are a good value for the price.

Size and Stitch a disappointment

I had assumed that since there was only one size available that the valance would fit a standard bedroom window. It does go all the way across but there is no option to really bend and fold the way a valance should look.
Also, the stitching at the end of the valance was a little crooked.

BEWARE--This valance runs narrow

I like the fabric quality and color of the pink Harper valances. I have two complaints: (1) they are not wide enough to bunch/pleat a standard size window, particularly if you use a wrap around curtain rod; and (2) when I ordered two (I have a double window), they were two different lengths. Unfortunately the difference in lengths is highlighted by the ribbons across the bottom of the valance. I called Customer Service today and they are replacing the missized valance with no add'l expense to me. Assuming the new valance is the correct length, I will be very pleased with the purchase.

Great quality, but like all the other reviews you need 2 per window if you want a pleat, which is how it is designed to hang anyway (not flat across). I am using a rod that wraps around so if you went with a decorative rod then the material could hang and stop but still you wouldn't get much of a pleat at all. I mean look at the pic. it stops! It's too small! Anyway they are nice and pink color is very bright and vibrant.

I completely agree with the reviewer below. This valance is too short for the window and looks ridiculous when additional curtains are placed below. Pottery Barn needs to make this larger, or at least have various size options.

We have a standard, single size window and the valance barely covers the width; therefore, we do not have any extra room to bunch the valance into pleats. Very disappointed!

I love the sturdiness of the fabric used in these valances. I just wish everything in the lavender Harper pattern wasn't on back order and we didn't have issues with getting the finials for the curtain rods that go with these valances.

I ordered two of these valances in chocolate for my baby's gender neutral nursery, and I love them. They are a canvas-cotton material, easy to care for, and even easier to hang! They add the perfect, simple touch to the room, and go with everything, so I have the option of changing bedding patterns in the future without having to change the valance, too. In my first shipment, the chocolate ribbon trim was fraying on one of them. I contacted PBK immediately, and had a new one within a few days, without any additional charge or hassle for me. Great product, great service! Highly recommend--boy or girl--baby, child, or teen.

These valances look great. We ordered the ones with the green stripe for contrast against a pink wall. The green is a nice soft color. The fabric irons very easily (with a little spray starch) and has a nice drape when hung up.

I bought the Harper valance in pink to go with the mini dot curtains in pink with the blackout liner. The window looks great, but the Harper valance pink is darker than the mini dot pink and doesn't match the mini dot curtains exactly. Still the combo looks great!

I recently purchased the harper valance with green border for our newborn nursery. I paired it with the green polka dot sheers and the combination looks just adorable. The colors in the different sets match well. Although I haven't tried to wash them yet, they were very easy to press.
I think the best part is that these can be used as our child grows and can easily pair with decor for toddler, preschool years and beyond!
