My husband and I picked out this rug in a 3 x 5 size for our new baby girl's nursery. It is a good size for a pretty small room, the colors are beautiful, and it looks perfect! It is a good quality rug, we are both very happy with the purchase.

Excellent choice for girl's room

We bought the 8x10 for my daughter's room. It looks great. It's not exactly plush but soft enough. Based on the reviews I was concerned about shedding, but it's been several months now and has not shed at all. I'm very pleased with the rug.

Colors not as Vibrant as they appear

I bought this rug for my daughters playroom in a 5x8. I was disappointed when I received it, as the colors are not nearly as vibrant in color as they are in the picture.

SHEDS LIKE AN ANIMAL

This rug is adorable and worked perfectly in my daughters room..... however, it sheds like an animal. Seriously, I don't often review products, but this is ridiculous. It's not just a little bit - I've vacuumed it many times and it never seems to lessen. I have to swiffer my daughters room daily to clean up the shedding, if she plays on it - her socks and pants are covered in it. It's crazy. Had I known then what I know now, I simply would have chosen a different rug - it's not THAT cute.

We loved this rug in the store, and bought it for our daughter's room. I LOVE the look of the rug, and that it is soft and comfortable to sit on. But the shedding is so awful, we are going to get rid of it after less than 6 months. The product information mentions that some shedding is normal, but I have piles of tiny furs all over my daughter's room, all over all of our clothes, and basically all over our house! It gets tracked around everywhere. I've given the rug six months to ease up on the shedding, and even sent it to a professional rug cleaner for treatment, and it's as bad as ever. Unless you don't care at all about having huge piles of furry dust all over your house, even with constant cleaning and vacuuming, I would strongly recommend that you not purchase this rug. Very disappointed in the quality.

High quality & stylish focal point

This rug (in green) immediately made our daughters room feel bright, cozy and cheerful. It's also great for dampening sound, if you've got hardwood floors. It's the most commented upon item in our daughters room--everyone loves it! However, as many other reviewers have noted, the thing sheds. We don't get rug-related dust bunnies, but anything dark colored and cotton (including a clothed baby) that's set down on the rug will pick up green fuzz. We just don't think it's that big of a deal, compared to the positive attributes of the rug. Final note: if you have cats with claws, expect that they're going to use the loops as purchase for stretching. They will pull up pieces of wool. We just cut the severed loops even with the rest of the carpet, and it still looks new after 7 months of active daily use.

I got this rug for the playroom & must say that visually it is beautiful. However, the shedding is terrible. I've had it 8 months now & it still sheds ridiculously. I vacuum it as p/instructions (no brush) everyday & still have large amounts of rug bunnies all over the house & in my daughters hair. Surprised by this since PBK quality is almost always top rated.

Beautiful, but just sheds too much

I love the look of this rug and it in nice and soft and well padded which is what we wanted for the kids room. However, if I'd wanted a pet, I would have just gotten one. Instead I have more lint all over the house and on all the kids clothes than I would have with a dog or cat. The description mentions shedding is normal, but I fear we'll have to toss it before we get to the point where it will stop because it's been many months and more than regular vacuuming and it's still too much.
So, if you've already got a pet you'll be fine, but do NOT underestimate the amount of 'normal' shedding you'll have with this carpet.

Perfect Girls' Rug!!

My daughter has the 5x8 in green and we just LOVE this rug. It seems to be very well made. Some shedding in the first couple weeks but not anymore. We've had it almost a year. The shedding never bothered me since I vacuum regularly anyway, WITH the roller brush. The colors go with just about any PBK bedding, making it very versatile! It makes the room bright and colorful and girly. It is such a joy to be in her room!

Cute, but does shed like crazy

Love this rug for my daughter's playroom. Very cushy, beautiful colors. But the shedding is ridiculous. I've had it about 6 months, and despite regular vacuuming (without the roller brush on, as recommended), it still sheds like mad. There are tumbleweeds on our hardwoods, and laying on the rug in a dark shirt is a bad idea. It has also pulled in a few places even with following the vacuuming guidelines. Still love this rug and would buy it again, but be forewarned!
