Twill Panel with Blackout Liner

Our cotton-twill panel is lined to help block out sunlight for a better night's sleep and more restful naps. Blackout lining helps darken the room and adds to the drape of the panel. Pure cotton twill. Layers beautifully with any of our sheer panels. Panels hang from belt-loop tabs, creating soft inverted pleats. Use with our Metal clips (sold separately). Panels are sold individually. View our window measuring guide. White panel is Catalog/Internet only. Dry clean only. Imported. Complimentary window panel swatches are available. Please call 1-800-430-7373 for details.

Beautiful

I purchased in white and they are beautiful! They are so soft! The blackout is perfect for the sun but also to keep heat or cold out!

They are white curtains...
February 11, 2013
These are fine. Nothing special about them. But I didnt expect there to be. Ironing them out was ok. They block most of the light, but I can still see the outline of our wooden blinds behind the curtain from some light coming through. For our nursery needs they will be just fine. The material is nice. Very glad I got the blackout panel ones, as opposed to trying to hang my own blackout panel on its own.

Nice curtains, but not a true blackout
December 1, 2012
These curtains are beautiful and hang nicely, but are not true blackout curtains. We have two sets of these, one for each of our twin boys bedrooms. One of our sons can easily nap with these curtains over his wooden blinds, but they left the room too bright for my other son to fall asleep for naps. I ended up sewing blackout fabric from a fabric store to the back of his and now he can nap as well.

Not 100% blackout, but still works
April 26, 2012
I purchased these curtains in the "bright pink" color for my daughter's bedroom. The curtain is not 100% blackout, I'd say it's more like 75%. The room is definitely darker, but not pitch dark. I suspect that the lighter colors probably have even less blackout light blockage. I selected the darker pink in order to get a little more light blockage. My biggest issue is that I'm nitpicky and the liner does not come all the way to the edges of the curtain. So there is a border effect with more light coming in. PBK could have easily avoided this by having the liner go all the way to the edge of the curtain. In addition, in places, you can see shadows of wadded up strings/extra fabric within that border area. Not necessarily something somebody would notice just walking by or being in the room, but I notice.

Best blackout curtains
April 18, 2012
These curtains are amazing! Very heavy weight, yet soft touchable fabric. Definitely better than the non blackout curtains that I had before. Although other reviewers are right when they said the light still comes out above the curtain rod/curtains. I think the only way to avoid that is to have a valance or mount the curtain rod higher above the window. Overall a great purchase and well worth the money! One thing I learn over and over again is you get what you pay for. This definitely rings true with all things Pottery Barn!

Great curtains
March 9, 2012
We got these curtains almost two years ago for my daughter's room and we love them. Where I come from blinds, not curtains, block 100% light even in the middle of a sunny day, so I wouldn't say that these panels are 100% blackout curtains but 80-90% for sure.

Blackout Liner???
November 2, 2011
These are beautiful panels. The fabric is nice and they hang well, but are definitely not blackout panels. If you're looking for something that will truly darken the room, you may want to look elsewhere. I have wooden blinds on my daughter's windows in addition to these panels and the room still has too much light. I'm going to have to add some additional blackout shades to the window to get the room dark enough for my toddler to nap.
These are pretty curtains, but if you buy them hoping that they will darken the room, you'll be disappointed. The color I bought was light pink. The darker colors may do a better job of darkening the room, but I can't say for sure.
