Works well but design peels off
April 8, 2013
I read all the positive reviews for these thermoses before purchasing 2 and shipping all the way to London. We have been using them for a few months now, they work well, while the butterfly one is still intact the owl version has all the picture peeling and rubbing off. Very disappointing.

Perfect for lunch
February 4, 2013
This fits perfectly in my daughter's PBK lunch box, with room to spare for the rest of her lunch. I usually heat her soup up pretty hot right before she leaves for school, and sometimes when she brings leftovers home, it's still warm. So I'd definitely say it holds the warmth.
We haven't tried it for cold items, but it seems to work very well in general.

Wonderful product
January 22, 2013
When my daughter's Thermos food jar started showing some signs of wear after almost 3 years of daily use, I decided to purchase the PBK Thermos food jar to match her Chocolate Owl lunch bag. So glad I did--the owl decoration is beautiful and matches the bag perfectly. Food stays warm because of high quality Thermos insulation. It doesn't leak. My daughter uses it everyday for hot pastas, soups, and noodles, and will be using it for fruit salads in warmer weather. She absolutely loves the cute owl pattern and that it matches her lunch bag. Would definitely buy again.

much cuter in person
January 10, 2013
we ordered the lavendar butterfly because, at the time, it was the only print available. my daughter was not thrilled, but upon reciept discovered it is WAY cuter in person, the colors are significantly brighter than it appears in the pictiure. we are very pleased!

Works!!!
November 20, 2012
My granddaughter goes to a charter school where lunch is not served. I wanted her to be able to take a hot lunch, I bought four different food jars and they all leaked. This one doesn't. I filled it with hot water and let set for 10 minutes before putting in the hot food and her food was just the perfect temp at lunchtime. If you have any hesitations about buying this don't....it works.

Great thermos!

I love using this thermos for my 3yo's food. It allows her to bring a hot lunch to school. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is due to personalization. The name is difficult to see.

KEEPS FOOD WARM FOR 5+ HOURS!
November 12, 2012
This thermos works great for hot foods. I heat up the thermos with hot water and put the food in the thermos piping hot (per the thermos instructions)at 8am and the food was still warm at 3pm! I have used this for spaghetti and soup with NO leakage. Love it and will be back for more of these!

a great thermos
October 4, 2012
I was excited to see that Pottery barn was now carrying Thermos brand. I had been looking for something to send in my daughter's lunch to keep foods hot. Cold things aren't usaully a problem because I can throw in the little ice packs that I also have bought from here. We have used this about 10 times so far. It seems to work well. No leaking, and my daughter said her food is still hot when she opens it!

The best!
September 23, 2012
I tried the other type of container pottery barn has and it was a horrible experience. Sent it back and got this one, could not be happier. So glad they have these now and they match the lunch boxes. I fill with hot water from the tap and wait the 10 min. recommended time and put the food in the microwave for 2 min. so it is very hot. By lunch the temperature is perfect and keeps the food fresh. Use it for both of my girls and so glad I can send health food in these to school instead of having them eating the bad stuff they serve. Couldn't be happier.

Finally one that works!
September 4, 2012
We purchased two of these and so far have only used each one once but I am so happy! We purchased one of the PBK insulated containers last year and they were horrible. I exchanged and finally just returned. My daughter's teacher she didn't ever want to see it in class again. But this year's thermose ones are great. My daughters had spaghetti in them and they said they were still warm at lunchtime. I did fill them with super hot water prior to filling them with spaghetti per the recommended use. The seal on the lids is removable and I washed them both in the dishwasher, against what is most recommended) with no problems. I hope they hold up as long as the school year but they seem really high quality and I have no worries. Plus they are cute. I have not used them for cold things yet.
