Girls' Mackenzie Large Backpacks
Designed specifically to help kids stay organized, these preppy and practical bags have lots of pockets, exterior straps and gear loops that keep everything in place. Fits children who are over 4' tall. 13" wide x 7" deep x 17" high Made from rugged, water-resistant 600-denier polyester. Holds 1 laptop, 2 full size binders, 3-4 medium books or notebooks. Includes pockets for laptops and MP3 players. Detailed with reflective threads for safety. Adjustable straps are contoured and padded to ensure a comfortable fit; padded back panel adds extra cushioning. Exterior straps hold a lunch bag (sold separately) securely in place. Personalization is available for an additional $7.00. Select styles and colors are Catalog / Internet only.

I have purchased multiple backpack's from Pottery Barn Kids over the years. The quality and cute design's are always a hit with my son, my niece and my nephew. They seem to really enjoy them and picking out the one they like best.

Looks nice but seams don't hold up

We bought a backpack from the previous collection. Same backpack, just different design. It looks really cute. We also bought the matching lunch bag. After about 2 months of school use the seams started to rip despite that my daughter did not carry a lot of items. Because we moved to Europe I could not return it. I would not recommend it because it doesn't seem very durable.

Girls Backpack

Purchased a backpack when my Grandaughter was in Kindergarden, monogrammed, along with a lunch pack. She's now in 2nd grade. Aside from it being scuffed and dirty, it has withstood 2 1/2 years of wear and tear. She now keeps her dishes and play food stored in there and takes it along when they play outside. She loves it and so do I. Worth the money in my opinion!

Poor quality, especially for the price

I ordered this backpack monogrammed for my daughter's K year. Wthin 1 week of use, the zipper on one of the smaller pockets broke. And it's a pocket my daughter doesn't even use! It's a top front pocket, so its extremely noticeable. Today, after about 6 months of very mild use (her backpack stays in her cubby the entire day!), one of the straps developed a 3-inch tear. Since the tear is neatly along the seam in a hard padded strap, where it's not easy to make a tear by simply pulling too hard, I think it's another quality issue. I bought a pricier backpack thinking it'd last us 2-3 years and save money in the long run, and man, was I disappointed.

Excellent color(dark, but girly), very comfortable for a bigger child with lots of books. Looks sturdy. Love the name option, and color, great pockets. Hope it will last. Very fast shipping.

adorable yet strong and comfortable

My daughter is in 1stgrade and LOVES her new bag. Its holds so much and is super easy to carry. She loves the snaps in front so the straps don't slipp off her shoulders. I love how adorable it is and it holds all of her snow gear and school work. I also know it will last a long time! Very strong bag!

couldn't pass it up

I had been watching for the rolled duffle to go on sale but of course I think they did away with it. I saw this for a great price and free shipping and I could not pass it up. The only thing there is nothing left to match it.
My Granddaughter is only 21 months so I am planning on using this to carry toys when we go to visit on the week-ends for a while. But if she like pulling it around with her dolls she can keep it.
It seems very well made and all kinds of little places to put different items away.

I REALLY LIKE POTTERY BARN KIDS BAGS BOUGHT ONE FOR GD 4 YRS AGO. THIS BAG IS NOT AS BIG AS HERS. WHAT'S UP WITH THAT PBK. IT'S STILL A GOOD BAG. NEEDS TO BE BIGGER IF YOU ASK ME. QUALITY ON POINT.

Great, spacious backpack

My daughter went through 2 cheaper backpacks before the Christmas break. This backpack has held up so far and we are hopeful that it will get us through at least half of the next school year!
Great space, padded straps and place for water makes it especially handy. Looks great too!

Excellent backpack. This is the 2nd backpack purchased for my granddaughter and they have performed well. It could have been used two years; however, the light colored packs can get very dirty and may not come clean. The backpacks are excellent.

My kindergartener loves this bag! She saw it on a friend and had to have it. After researching the brand and all that the bags had to offer, I agreed that she had to have it! It carries everything my kids are required to take to and from school and is easy to carry. My daughter loves having her name on the outside and I can't wait to show her where an ipod can go when she gets a little older! LOVE THAT THIS BAG CAN GROW WITH US!! Plenty of room for all of my daughter's supplies, books and an extra sweater. The quality of the fabric and design are top notch. A special place for everything makes it easy to find what she is looking for. She is happy with the fit and comfort of this backpack even when full. Overall a satisfactory purchase in every way!

This backpack is so sturdy and well made, it will truly stand the test of a young child toting and abusing it. :) Not to mention how cute the prints are! I will always order my children't backpacks from PBK!

Purchased two of these when they were on sale, had a PBK coupon, got them for $40 each WITH personalization!
Very happy with styling and quality. For the price, it's a better deal than Jansport and equal craftsmanship. Was less than Hannah andersson and way better quality. Purchased larger than I wanted, hope to get a few years out of these.

LOVE this backpack!

I bought my daughter this for preschool this year, and we love it! I got the large backpack, and while it is definitely a little large for her (she's 4) it holds everything we have to tote to school (extra clothes, folders, blanket, teddy bear, lunch box) and is not too heavy for her. She loves wearing it, and loves that she can buckle it herself. It is high quality and will last for a long time, too.

NOT LIKE THE OLD ONES!!

I purchased my 5th and 6th backpacks from pottery barn and expected the superior construction that has always been with these products, however, was I SURPRISED. I noticed from the beginning that the material seemed "thinner" and not as sturdy. One of them has begun falling apart after six weeks of school. CS says they will replace, but I'm not expecting much different since her sister's is already starting to pull at the seams as well. I have a feeling that one will be sent back soon. I am so disappointed as all our previous backpacks were seemingly indestructable! We still use them for other things...they're just not large enough for their trapper keepers in 3rd grade. PLEASE BRING BACK YOUR PREVIOUS VENDOR THAT MADE THE BACKPACKS!!!!! I was willing to pay the higher price for these backpacks when I knew they would stay together. Next purchases will be with another company, sadly.
