My daughter loves the chocolate owl design so much so that this is now what she always drinks from. I don't use the cap because I prefer to use a carabiner cap from my other kleen kanteen so I can't review that but I do wish I had purchased more than one.

PBK needs more options for caps

Love the KK bottles, and love the different designs PBK offers. They are the only ones we use.
However, only the sport sippy top is offered by PBK, which leaks all over the lunchbox. So we end up buying the item from PBK, but then have to buy the loop caps separately from KK. Waste of money and resources.
I'd give it 5 stars if PBK started offering the loop cap. This is not an issue with KK, more with PBK, as KK comes with a choice of caps on their website.

Both children love these water bottles!

We purchased several of these last year for our son as his daycare requested water be sent during the summer months. His water bottles held up well during the summer even with daily usage. I recently purchased additional water bottles for my two year old daughter. Even though they have not been requested by the school yet this year, she is already insisting on using them at home. We have not had any problems with leaking from any of these water bottles, and we now own six. Both children love the designs on these water bottles.

I love this cup because of how functional it is and my daughter loves it because it matches her backpack and lunch bag. It goes to school with her everyday. She uses it after PE and recess. I love that it is easy to clean and stays cold all day. Actually bought a second one because she lost the first one.

Have 2 of these. Plastic stopper fallen out on both and then they leak everywhere. Cute size but horrible design.

We were very disappointed with the quality of this product. Bought in Sep. 19, after a month and a half, the thin aluminum bent when left in a car. By month 2, it started to leak everywhere.
We expected aluminum would be a good option for a child's thermos, but this one is just poorly made.

I thought I had finally found the solution to the problem of leaking water containers in my daughter's lunch box. This one was going strong (and very attractive, too!) but about a month after purchase it began leaking profusely from the small hole in the top--I guess the little plastic air-thingy failed. Very disappointing. Would not recommend and would not buy again. What a mess in the lunchbox and stress for my daughter at school.

Whatever was causing the leak, looks like it has been resolved. We have had no leaks with either of the Kleen Kanteens we purchased for the PBK lunch bags. They fit Perfectly, and are very easy for my 5 and 6 year-old kids to operate. Great product!

parts of the kanteens was missing

i purchase this product for my oldest kid and was great,so i decide to get one more for my little one and i was very disapointed because i had to wait to long for ariving and bottle was leaking because the silicon small part was missing....i returned this in the store....

Great for looks but not for full portability

We loved the artwork of the bottle. I bought one for each of my son and daughter.
My 5y son dropped his and dented the bottom edge, which chipped. The chip is peeling, very much how my nail polish chips/peels after the initial damage.
Ours is leaking from the tiny hole built into the sport cap. I assume this is for purposes of letting air in as they drink. This has created a mess in my kids' matching pbk lunch boxes (which btw the lunch box walls have held up to the extended time of sitting with liquid inside).
I am really disappointed as I love the artwork, but it's useless for keeping in any place where it won't sit upright when not in use.
As stated in the Kleen Kanteen site, the sport cap is not leak proof. I just wish pbk noted that in their descriptions as this was a pricey drink container that doesn't serve a great purpose of children-quality portability.
I will not be buying again.

Cute but NOT functional

I purchased this bottle to go with my daughter's "First Day of Kindergarten-everything- matched-from-Pottery Barn-moment." It's really cute & works well when sitting up. Straight up. Completely. That is all. As we all know, the average 5 year old does not excel at always keeping their backpack, with said cute bottle in it, standing completely straight up. Therefore, we've had a number of wet backpack, wet carseat, wet clothes episodes. I realize that it says plainly in the product description, that "leaking may occur," however, this borders on ridiculous for a child's bottle. I was very disappointed that something with such a price tag could render itself so completely useless. There's a place where a small plastic gasket should've been but there is not one. Overall, I was very disappointed in this purchase & in Pottery Barn as a whole for carrying something that was such a relative flop when all their other school related products are usually such high quality.

Leaks even when used properly

For the "I did it right, you didn't" crowd:
We hand wash all our dishes (don't even have a dishwasher). We used the canteen properly (I even packed it one day in my own lunch to see if maybe my daughters were using in incorrectly). Klean Kanteens leaked horribly! It's a poorly designed product.
If yours didn't leak, you are very lucky. We have owned several and have yet to have a decent one that didn't leak everywhere.
