this rug brings the entire nursery together! i went back and forth during my entire pregnancy about buying it because it's a little pricey, but i am so incredibly glad i did. it's my favorite piece of nursery decor and makes me happy every time i walk into the room! it's so cheerful and the colors are exactly what was i was wanting, perfect combo of pink, yellow and a nice sage green. this way i can have the green bumper, sheer yellow curtains, pink lamp, etc, and as i said, it brings all those accents together. it sheds a little but that's not a big deal for me, since we have carpets under the rug anyway and it's fine between vacuuming. LOVE THIS RUG!

Totally love it in my daughters room....livens up her room which has all white furniture...... Before buying I had read that this rug sheds....and it has slightly but all expensive rugs do shed a bit at the beginning but it's only temporary......A MUST BUY...You will not regret it ....very happy with this purchase :-)

Too Much Shedding!

I purchased this rug over six years ago and I STILL have pink fuzz all over my split level home. The rug is beautiful and still looks great, but I can't believe how dirty it makes my whole house. I'm not sure I would purchase it again.

I originally bought the daisy garden rug to go with my daughter's daisy garden bedding, but that rug doesn't match, unfortunately. I saw this one online and the pics looked like the same colors that are in the bedding. I just got it today, and it's okay, I guess, but it is NOT as bright as it looks in the picture. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep it, she may just have to go without a rug.

pretty rug, but major shedding

I got this rug about a month ago. It is pretty, but it sheds terribly, even with regular vacuuming. You can not sit on the rug without getting hundreds of thick white rug hairs all over (which are impossible to get off even with a good lint roller). What is the point of a nice, soft rug for your kids room if you can't lie on it to play with them! I am getting a replacement rug and hopefully that will be better.

I have had this rug for several weeks now. It looks really cute in my daughter's nursery. No shedding so far (unlike my son's PBK rug), and it's comfortable for us to play on.

I believe PBkids has solved the major shedding problem as stated in earlier reviews. I'm glad I waited to purchase. It sheds very little.
We were waiting for a surprise before we had our daughter. Once she was born I needed to add girl accents into her green room. This rug was perfect and makes it so girly now. It's a thick substantial rug. Well worth the price. Some pulls occur with vaccuming. Nother major. Just snip with scissor.

I bought this rug 2 1/2 years ago, so have had adequate time to judge it. It is very durable, and has had no pulls at all. It does shed somewhat, but I think all rugs of this type do shed. It's not a big problem as long as no one is sitting on the floor with dark clothes on. My daughter's clothes are all light-medium colors and I never noticed the fibers on her clothes, but I do see them on the wood floor around the rug. Very happy with this purchase overall.

This is probably the 10th rug I have purchased from pottery barn. I decorated my daughters room to coordinate with the EMILY bedding, (quilt) and this rug matches perfectly. Have had it for over a year and had no problems with shedding.

I had read previous warnings about shedding issues. I bought the "new" version claiming to reduce shedding and so far (after one month) I have had no issues with shedding. The rug is beautiful and durable. The colors are also feminine and versatile. This will match a variety of quilts/duvets. I am very happy with my purchase.

Great looking, DOES shed

I have done both kids rooms' in PBK and love the look, and quality. I'm torn about the rugs---bought two so obviously the first wasn't that bad. They are sturdy, last long and well-made. The problem is they do shed, badly. Sitting in black pants on my sons rug (which we do often to play of course) results in tons of small, fine hairs, like you get with a dog. they are soft to walk on, and I just wish, they'd figure out how to make them shed-less. UGH.

I wilsh we had never purchased this rug. The shedding is unlike anything I have ever seen. Every time we vacuum it (at least twice a week) our vacuum cleaner bag is filled to the brim with lint. Be sure not to sit on the rug unless you don't want to be covered in lint from head to toe. Our rug has loose strands everywhere and we've only had it for six weeks. There is a reason this rug is on sale...

Just what we wanted!

Really like this rug - the pinks, yellows and greens coordinate well with other PBK items. Some of the flowers in the rugs are slightly raised from the surface of the rug, providing nice texture. We have the "new" rug which is designed to shed less, and I have not had a big shedding problem. I don't find that it sheds any more than a typical new wool rug.

This rug is absolutely adorable! I have not experienced the same vacuuming problem as the other review. In fact, I haven't had to vacuum it more than I have other rugs. It is so soft and thick! My daughter just loves it! Also, pottery barn kid's colors are very similar so it goes great with my daughter's decor that I purchased at pb 4 years ago!

All pottery barn kids rugs I have seen / tried shed like crazy. The one in my daughters room is SEVEN years old and still really sheds. They are nice and thick, and look cute - but be ready to vacuum daily - and not just for the first little while - for the life of the rug.
