Fishing for Compliments

This lamp is a real eye catcher. Without mentioning it, it is the first thing people seem to notice when they see a new room I recently decorated for my grands using a nautical theme. It's extremely sturdy and puts out great light. The only thing I might change is that the switch is on the cord, but I will work with that so that it is easier to find, probably by attaching it to the table leg near the bed.

Perfect for young boy's rooom!

Great addition to a nautical themed room. Looks great in the room with the nautical rope mirror, wooden sailboat, buoys, madras bedding and shark sheets. Gives very bright, almost too bright, light with a 60 watt bulb. Very sturdy.

I bought this lamp before my son was born and he is now 3 years old going on 4. He loves it! It still looks great in his room, but the only con is cleaning it--it is a little tricky since the bars go around the light fixture, but hands down it is still worth it!

Purchased this lamp for my 5 year olds bedroom. Its a nice compliment to his nautical bedroom. Very nice quality..easy to assemble. Highly recommend for a nice touch in any room.

Very nice lamp. Packaged very well for shipping, went together easily and excellent quality. Have not used it yet in the nursery but plan to use a very low wattage bulb.

Beautiful !!! Heavy and very good quality. I purchased 2 of them. One for the office desk and the other to set on top of the china hutch. They look great and match my decor. Customer Service is like no other. I think Pottery Barn products are the best !!!!

I actually bought this lamp to our entryway. It looks absolutely fantastic as it sets the tone to the coastal living style we wanted to achieve!
THIS is exactly what we needed.
It is actually bigger than I thought which was a nice surprise and it is such a statement piece.
EVERYONE is noticing it and makes comments on the lamp. No wonder.

Perfect lamp!

I have always loved this lamp and luckily my son loves the beach, boats, etc. When it was time to decorate his "big boy" room, I chose a nautical theme and ordered this lamp immediately. It is a great decorative piece. The only issue for me is that I wanted to use the lamp for minimal light when I need to turn it on at night and it is VERY bright (because there is no lampshade). A 60W bulb was way too much and even the 40W is too bright for me. I am going to see about a lower bulb or something else I can do. I was also worried about the on/off switch on the cord...it is about 20" from the base. I was afraid that it would hang behind the dresser, but it worked out that I can reach it just fine by looping it around the corner of the dresser.

This lamp is great. So happy I ordered it. I do wish the on and off switch was on the lamp instead of on the cord. All in all, I am incredibly happy with the purchase. LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!

I got this lamp for our sons nursery. We are doing a nautical theme. I got this to go with the Owen nursery bedding and they look great together. The lamp is very sturdy and durable. It is a little bright as I am hoping to use it for night time changes and feedings, but i'm just going to buy a less watt light bulb hoping that works. The switch is on the cord, but I don't think that will be an issue for me. I am very pleased with this item, as I always am with Pottery Barn.

Cool looking lamp

This lamp looks very cool especially with a nautical themed room. I haven't used it much since the baby isn't born yet, but I didn't notice there are only two options...on and off. I like lamps where you can put in 3 way light bulbs light level of light, high level of light and off. Other than that it seems good.

Perfect for my son's room. He's four. It looks boyish and goes perfectly with the madras plaid quilt. It's a heavy, substantial lamp with an easy on/off switch.

I was first concerned about this lamp because it looks to not be sturdy in the picture but the lamp is very sturdy and heavy so that kids have a harder time knocking it down.
I have had many compliments on this lamp and would recommend to anyone. This lamp is used in our living room with a nautical theme.

Adorable, Authentic and Durable Lamps!

I purchaed 2 of these lamps to go on my boys bed side tables. You may have guessed that the theme is beach/sailing. They are so authentic and very durable. My boys 3 and 4 LOVE them. I also purchased a type of bulk bin in blue at Pottery Barn and boy it looks great together. I am strongly considering purchasing the Catalina bed for both boys because of the current discount. These lamps are superb! The would work in a beach house as well for any age! Way to go Pottery Barn! Another quality product.

Beautiful Lamp but…

I bought this lamp to go with the Key West bedding for my son's room. The lamp looks great, is nice and heavy and is of good quality. However, one thing that I dislike about it is that the metal shade being at the top prevents the light from shining upwards and really illuminating the room. The room stays pretty dark, even with a 60 watt bulb. The other thing that I dislike is that the on/off switch is on the cord. The switch itself is quite far from the base of the lamp. I have to reach way down in between the bed and nightstand to reach the switch on the cord. It would have been better if the switch was on the lamp base itself. At this price, it should have been.

The lamp is a little expensive but worth it for my son's new "big boy" room. It matches his room's fishing theme perfectly. It's a very nice quality.
